Visa Liberalisation and What it Would Mean for Ordinary People

9th December 2016

The question of visa liberalisation is of critical importance for almost all Georgians. As the European Union passes it in 2017, it could transform the lives of many people. From students, who want to travel to Europe to study, to professional musicians who want to perform in Europe, to businessmen, who need to travel. There were fears in Georgia that procrastination on the issue could play into the hands of Russia. But as of Monday, February 27  the decision is final and the date of visa-free travel is approaching fast. This story was produced by Maestro TV/ OPEN Media Hub in Tbilisi, Georgia on Nov 26, 2016.
