On April 11-12, 2017 the OPEN Media Hub carried out a Master Class in Media Management for Print and Online Media in Algiers. The Master Class was attended by managers and senior editors of print and online media in Algeria and focused on issues such as:
- Strategies for survival and development of print and online media in a digital world from financial and content point of view;
- Challenges and trends in multi-platform journalism;
- Integrated newsrooms;
- Editorial and overall organisational management.
The training was carried out by Pierre Boucaud, who has 25 years of professional experience, including 20 years in media development including local press, digital media, and Television in France. He has been on numerous missions abroad including Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Armenia, Georgia and New Caledonia. He has worked in the field of media cooperation with CFI and in strategic auditing of local television. Pierre is a member of the SPIIL (Syndicat de la presse d’information indépendante en ligne) and also trains in the use of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Periscope, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook Live).
