Journalists to cover the Eastern Partnership Summit with OPEN Media Hub support

24th October 2017

The OPEN Media Hub is hosting journalists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to travel and receive production  support to cover the Eastern Partnership Summit on the 24th of November in Brussels. Press details about the event are available here.

The OPEN Media Hub is organising a pre-Summit briefing for the journalists on November 23rd, attendance of the Summit on November 24, and state-of-the-art production mentoring on November 25th.

Participating journalists will produce a story ahead of the trip to illustrate EU in action in their country and the Eastern Partnership summit’s key themes:

  • stronger economy: economic development and better market opportunities;
  • stronger governance: strengthening of institutions and good governance;
  • stronger connectivity: enhancing interconnections, notably in the areas of transport and energy;
  • stronger society: increasing mobility and contacts between people.

The Summit will also address political issues such as Armenia’s decision on the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement with the EU; and the acknowledgement of the European aspirations of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

The stories produced by the participating  reporters will be published during the event in their respective media outlets and on our website here.
