Journalists from Alegria, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia have travelled to Brussels on May 21-22, 2019 with OPEN Media Hub support to cover a business event dedicated to boosting economic development and foreign investment in the countries of the Southern Neighbourhood. The Conference “EU Med Means Business: Shaping the Future of Entrepreneurship in the South” is hosted by EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, seen above in an interview during the Conference. Four parallel events are taking place in Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco. The main purpose of the event is to foster an open debate and formulate specific suggestions how to tackle the major challenges and obstacles for investment and entrepreneurship in the EU’s Southern Neighbourhood.
The journalists from the region covering the event with the OPEN Media Hub are working with the project’s experts on stories about the business relations between their countries and the European Union which are being published by their media organisations and are being made available for use at the project’s Content Exchange Platform.
