The entire Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard clash had been going on for a while now, however, it really saw some light and concrete conclusions in 2022, which put Johnny Depp in the limelight, especially since he was previously fired from some prestigious roles, angering fans from everywhere. From the beginning, we knew Johnny Depp had more support than his ex-wife, but 2022 saw just how strong Depp’s fan base was. He was treated like a God throughout this trial, and the evidence stacked against Amber Heard didn’t help either.

This year, The Rock entered the DC universe as Black Adam, and this is something he had planned out for the last few years now. More than the movie itself, fans were excited to see The Rock in their favorite franchise, which is what made the movie popular, because apart from The Rock, Black Adam didn’t have a lot going on for it. In the last month or so, The Rock was in the spotlight after James Gunn made some changes to the DCEU (DC Extended Universe). For example, Henry Cavil was fired as Superman, which didn’t sit well with fans. After that, they went ahead and said that they won’t be continuing with Black Adam either. The Rock was very understanding of this decision and was happy to play the part that he did.
Although The Rock’s future in the DCEU doesn’t seem like a talking point anymore, we are more than certain that other franchises and roles will simply come pouring in for him. We sure hope you agree with us when we say that 2022 was Evan Peters‘ year, mainly because of his portrayal of the notorious serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer. When Dahmer was released on Netflix a few months ago, people were taken aback by the gruesome murders and the chilling story, but what shocked them, even more, was how perfect the casting of this show was. Evan Peters gave it his all to portraying a serial killer in a very demanding role, and we know it couldn’t have been easy for him.
In an interview, Evan Peters admitted that after all these roles, he would like to take a little break from being the serial killer and play the role of a normal guy in a romantic comedy, and frankly, we can see that happening for him. Undoubtedly, Evan Peters has a bright future ahead of him, and given his career trajectory, we can definitely see him doing more true crime and horror movies or shows, but wouldn’t mind seeing him expand to lighter genres. Evan Peters’ performance as Jeffery Dahmer has been one of the best performances of 2022, and you can now stream the limited series on Netflix!

It was almost like people needed to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home to remember just how talented and charming Andrew Garfield is, and that movie surely worked like a charm for him. Although the movie was released in 2021, its impact has lasted all through 2022, which meant that people were still talking about Andrew Garfield, and how he’s the only Spider-Man who hasn’t gotten his third movie yet.
