OPEN Media Hub

The Project OPEN Media Hub: Networking, on-the-job training and support to media professionals across the EU Neighbourhood area (EuropeAid/136510/DH/SER/Multi) is part of the European Union Programme OPEN Neighbourhood: opportunities, participation, engagement and networking” and is implemented by a consortium led by Thomson Foundation. The Consortium includes Action Global, European Journalism Centre, Free Press Unlimited, France Médias Monde, Ipsos Mori and Particip. The OPEN Media Hub project follows up on two previous EU funded projects – the Media Neighborhood and the European Neighbourhood Journalism Network.

Title: Europe is no Paradise

Short summary:  The story is about the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Belgium and France and several other European countries, and the fears that they will bring far right candidates to power. The second objective of the report is to shed light on the issue of Iraqi asylum seekers who are unable to obtain asylum because they can not prove the security threat they face in Iraq.  The third objective is to identify the extent to which Arab refugees in Europe have been integrated into European society fand the fourth objective is to monitor the extent to which the second and third generation Arabs living in Europe helped the new Arab refugees to integrate into society.

” الأخبار” مع اللاجئين السوريين والعراقيين في بلجيكا : الجنة ليست أوروبا

أحمد صبحي لاجئ عراقي يعاني منذ أكثر من عام للموافقة علي ثاني طلب يتقدم به للجوء إلي بلجيكا، بعد رفض طلبه الأول بدعوي استقرار الأوضاع في بغداد.. الحزن في عيني أحمد والتجاعيد التي ظهرت علي وجهه وهو لم يتخط الثلاثين من العمر تكفي للرد علي تساؤلات مكتب اللجوء البلجيكي حول أمن واستقرار حياته في بلاده، لكنها لم تكن مقنعة للمسئولين فتم رفض طلبه الأول واضطر للإقامة في ملجأ حكومي مخصص للاجئين.
