Title : Human Trafficking Gangs Active between Sudan and Egypt despite “Tightening the Noose”
Short summary : Despite the attempts of the Egyptian security authorities to control the vast and rugged southern border, there are smuggling gangs taking mountain and desert routes to smuggle irregular migrants between Sudan and Egypt. Smugglers before reaching the Egyptian border. Asharq Al-Awsat monitored the migrants’ insistence on fleeing to Egypt and discussed their motives to challenge the security and logistical risks on the southern Egyptian border. he lines of smuggling of irregular migrants through the desert are not clear or specific because of the breadth of the desert between Sudan and Egypt, as there are no distinctive features or signs that facilitate the process of speeding towards the Egyptian city of Aswan, which leads to the loss of some smugglers and migrants in the desert together. The vast space between the cities of Port Sudan and Aswan is very harsh, separated by high mountains and rugged roads that can only be penetrated by experienced people from both sides.
