Details: “Legal” business cannot compete and keep up with “illegal” business. The latter doesn’t pay taxes in the national public budget, doesn’t keep accounting records, doesn’t use permissive acts of activity, while law enforcement institutions “close their eyes” and don’t interfere. The results of a survey carried out by IDIS-Viitorul for the report “Fighting corruption in Moldova: what can the business do?” indicate that 47.9% of entrepreneurs believe that corruption hinders the business in the Republic of Moldova “very much”, while 20.4% believe corruption is blocking business in the country. This is a hot point reflected in a journalistic video material regarding how corruption affects Moldavian businesses and entrepreneurs.
