This article is about the efforts of Moroccan farmers from the South of the country to find alternative markets for their exports to the EU. The move comes in response to recent actions by Spanish peasant workers’ organisations, which aim to cut off the agricultural and marine exports from Western Sahara. The European Union’s official response came from Vice President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini, who announced that the European Union would take appropriate measures to strengthen the agricultural agreement and maintain partnership with Morocco.
