29th January 2018

Details: The story is about the Georgian company “Geo-Bio-Agro”, which establishes the production of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries for export to the EU countries. Tornike Kiviladze – representative of the company, said that the export of Georgian berries is planned, and this will be a biologically pure product. The project involves foreign investors. The project will create two logistics centers in Eastern Georgia – in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, and in Anaklia – west of the country. Berries are included in the mandatory diet of residents of many countries in the European Union, – noted in the company. They expect to supply berries from Georgia at the first stage to the Scandinavian countries. In general, according to the company, almost 40% of this market has not yet been fully developed. The company also points to the experience of Serbia – the production of berries in this country has had a significant positive effect on economic growth.
