29th January 2018

Details: The story is about what products can be exported from Georgia to the European Union within the framework of the free trade agreement. Interviews with representatives of the National Food Agency of Georgia, which provide control over the quality of products and give appropriate recommendations to farmers. A report from the village of Lilo about the Georgian company Kartuli Matkly, which recently sent the first export of sheep’s wool to the UK. This is the first product of animal origin from Georgia, which hit the European market. The permission for the export of wool from Georgia to the European Union and Great Britain was obtained after the National Food Agency of Georgia carried out a number of measures to bring the legislations closer together and ensure standards. After that, the European Union positively assessed the Georgian state control system and included Georgia in the list of third countries, where the export to the EU is allowed.
