We don’t see the Marvel Cinematic Universe ending anytime soon, and the expansion of this franchise is bringing us some very exciting titles, one of them being Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Who is Kang in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty?
If you are familiar with the Marvel comics, you probably know who Kang is already. However, if you haven’t read the comics but have seen the Loki series on Disney+, you might have caught a glimpse of Kang. He was the funny yet terrifying guy who appeared towards the end of the series, and it seemed like he was up to something big… really big. Well, that is true.
Kang the Conqueror is one of the biggest supervillains in Marvel. He is often an opponent of the Fantastic Four or the Avengers, so it makes sense that the upcoming movie is titled, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
However, you won’t have to wait until Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to catch another glimpse of Kang, because he is set to appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Before you do learn more about Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, it’s important you know a few things about Kang.
Firstly, he is keen on becoming the ruler of the entire universe, all realms, and all timelines, and he will do whatever it takes to get there. Secondly, apart from being called Kang, he is also known as the lord of the seven suns, the king of the kings, and the master of men, so that should help you gauge just how powerful he is.
So far, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced some brilliant supervillains, and one of the strongest has been Thanos. Kang the Conqueror would most definitely give Thanos a run for his money, we can assure you that. It’s no wonder that Marvel has soft-launched this character and not just given him a feature, to begin with!
What Will the Plot of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty Be?
It is too soon for us know to know the exact plotline of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and let us face it, even closer to the date, Marvel will keep the plot close to their chest, so all we can do is guess and speculate.
A lot of Kang’s stories will depend on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but since he will possibly only be a villain there, we are expecting Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to be more of an origin story. Since it’s an Avengers movie, we can expect some Avengers versus Kang action in the movie along with learning more about Kang, where he came from, and the plans he has for the entire Universe.
While Marvel Studios hasn’t given us an official plotline, Marvel comics come to our rescue. We know that the movies only take inspiration from the comics, but more recently, the MCU has been introducing some big comic book characters that one wouldn’t have expected a few years ago. Some of the best comics in Marvel revolve around Kang the Conqueror, so we’re hoping we will see some of that action in the movie Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
The Kang Dynasty comics revolve around a time when Kang had managed to achieve what no other supervillain in Marvel had, and that was taking over the entire world. Kang also has a son, Marcus, who plays an important role in this storyline. If Avengers: The Kang Dynasty takes inspiration from this particular comic storyline, we can see Kang and Marcus taking over the world, and the Avengers coming to rescue everyone.
The Cast of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty
So far, there is one confirmed cast member for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and that is Jonathan Majors. Majors made his first appearance in the Loki tv series on Disney+ and will now appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Majors is a talented and interesting pick by Marvel Studios and fans can’t wait to see how he grows into this role and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole. Other than Majors, we have no idea which characters might appear in this movie, and although we are speculating, we can’t be too far from the actual cast.
Since it is the Avengers, it will definitely include Captain America, played by Anthony Mackie. Mark Ruffalo will most likely reprise his role as Hulk, and we can also see Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, and Jeremy Renner returning as Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Thor, Captain Marvel, and Hawkeye respectively.
It is important to note that there have been many additions to superheroes since Avengers: Endgame, so it is possible that Nick Fury aka Samuel L. Jackson might appear in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to bring a new team of superheroes together.
When and Where Can You Watch Avengers: The Kang Dynasty?
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is a part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which means it won’t be released until 2025. As of now, it is stated that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will hit the theatres on the 2nd of May, 2025.
Exactly a year from its release, Avengers: Secret Wars will release in 2026, and these two movies will be the conclusion of Phase 6 of the MCU. Both these movies will be available in theatres as well as to stream on Disney+ a while after their release!
Is There a Trailer for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty?
