Berserk fans it’s time to assemble, no we aren’t going to talk about Berserk today but about BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Season 2 which is like the name of the anime is, is filled with all sorts of dark genre stuff from Gore to sexual violence.
Now for some, it’s kinda disturbing to watch a completely dark theme anime but for those who are strong-willed and don’t turn a blind eye this anime is you must go
BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Season 2 Release Date
The manga currently has 151 chapters and is still ongoing. The team had great success with the first season and now they are coming back with the sequel this year and we will be talking about it soon.
The team has officially announced the arrival of season 2 in Winter 2023. The new season is going to be BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- Hell’s Requiem Arc. Season 1 ended covering 92 chapters from manga and season 2 is set to air 13 episodes.
We might not see as much action as before. The team has not revealed any official date but; we can guess it will start airing in the first week of January 2024, so stick with us for future updates.

The anime is set in the country of England but the name of the characters are much similar to Chinese. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans are under constant threat of monsters like, goblins, orcs, vampires, and all those fantasy creatures and the power which can save them is much eviler.

The story starts with a girl Yoko who is searching for a kid named Luche. The castle in which both of them were living is attacked by monsters while running away. Yoko remembers a secret that her father told her. There is a seal in the castle which can be lifted if a virgin girl kisses a boy. If the seal is lifted then the spirit of the strongest sorcerer will possess the body of the person kissed.
Embarrassed by the fact she has to kiss someone she decided to escape but things didn’t go her way and the monsters invaded the castle. With no options left she kissed Luche and Luche becomes Dark Schneider who was the strongest sorcerer and also the main initiator of a devastating war years ago.
After the transformation, Luche beats the monsters like mosquitoes. Meanwhile, Yoko was scared that she might lose Luche forever, so she asks if Luche is present or if Schneider has taken over to her surprise, Luche was fine but his personality was kinda flipped. After the fight, Yoko kissed him back turning Luche into his original form.
After this incident, we get to witness the couple going back and forth as the monsters keep attacking them, and with time they get stronger.

Looking at the official trailer I can tell that animation quality has drastically improved from the last time, and I can’t wait to watch what will happen in the next season.

Season 2 doesn’t look disappointing as this time we get to see the resolve of Yoko and the Dark Schneider has disappeared, but has he disappeared? For a small spoiler no he hasn’t disappeared but; to know how you have to wait for the anime.
