Asta decides to become the next wizard king along with his fellow mates from Black Bulls. The manga anime adaptation premiered in Japan in October 2017 and aired its final 117th episode in March 2021.
The official website of Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie announced on Friday that the movie would be delayed to June 16, 2023, from its original release date, which was March 31, 2023, due to the spread of Covid 19. Netflix has also confirmed the news regarding Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie debut getting delayed.
Yuki Tabata shared illustrations of Asta holding the infamous demon slayer sword clad in his Black Bulls outfit. During the 2023 Jump Fest, Yuki Tabata released another sketch that looked like a sneak peek of Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie.

The movie’s chief supervisor is the original manga creator, Yuki Tabata himself, and the original character designer. The staff members from the television anime series will also be returning as cast members for the movie.
Ayataka Tanemura will be directing the film, Itsuko Takeda will be the lead character designer, and Minako Seki will be the music composer for the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie.
Toshihiko Seki will play Konrad Leto, a former Wizard King, and Marie Iitoyo will void the original character, Milly Maxwell.
Fumiya Takahashi will play Jester Galandros (romanization not confirmed), a mysterious wizard associated with the previous wizard king. Miyuki Sawashiro will voice Princia, and Houchu Ohtsuka will play Edward in the movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.

Looking at the trailer of Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, it can be expected that the movie will be based on Konrad Leto, the previous wizard king. But as we watch more of the teaser, we also get a glimpse of him wielding a sword which we can assume to be his most powerful weapon hence the title.
We expect that the protagonist Asta and his mates will be put on trial again, and we will watch epic action-filled battles as they try to overcome all the challenges thrown at them. Besides the confirmed action-filled clips, there will also be clips of explosives, battles, astounding spells, and powers scaling on par with Saiyans (just kidding).
The Anime has covered all the events up to chapter 272. We do not know whether they will return with another set of episodes soon because the studio is currently focused on airing the movie in 2023.
