Your favorite royals are about to make their way back to your screens after a brilliant season 2 which was filled with some of the best romance that we have seen on our screens so far, and we have Anthony and Kate to thank for that. Those two love birds got the happy ending that they deserved, however, the night is still young, and so are some of the other characters who are yet to be married and swept off their feet.

What Is The Plot of Bridgerton Season 3?

Lady Whistledown has been the crux of every season so far, and most characters are still busy guessing who this might be. Who is the courageous yet scandalous writer revealing all their secrets? As the search for Lady Whistledown continues, Bridgerton Season 3 is going to focus on Whistledown herself, but not in the way you would have imagined. Bridgerton Season 2 saw the love story between Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma, and that romance blew everyone’s mind. They had their wholesome ending, which means, it’s time for the next Bridgerton and his love story. This time around, the series will have a new Showrunner as well, the very talented Jess Brownell, and it will be interesting to see how her ideas impact this season, and possibly the future seasons. 

Moving back to the plot of Bridgerton Season 3. This season will see the romance between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. We have a feeling that this pairing might just make Bridgerton Season 3 one of the best seasons so far, and here’s why. Even though the first season focussed on Daphne and Duke, and the second on Anthony and Kate, fans were constantly rooting for Colin and Penelope, even though they weren’t the center of the seasons. Now that they are going to be leads of Bridgerton Season 3, fans are far too excited to see how this romance pans out, especially because Penelope has been in the friend zone far too many times by Colin. We’ve seen enemies to lovers, so this time, will we witness the classic friends-to-lovers trope? 

Bridgerton Season 3 will focus on Colin and Penelope, and they will be the stars of the series. However, don’t worry, because there will be more of Anthony and Kate too, we didn’t get enough of them last season either. They’re married now, which means Bridgerton Season 3 will be the aftermath of their marriage, with several ups and down, but we know Anthony will always charm his way back to Kate’s heart. Also, we haven’t forgotten about Eloise and Penelope’s friendship, because there’s plenty to unpack there too, and we hope that Bridgerton Season 3 does just that!

The Cast of Bridgerton Season 3

The cast of Bridgerton has entertained us thoroughly on screen and off-screen as well. Whether it was through their stellar performances on the series, or their funny TikTok off-screen, we have loved every second of it. So, it’s a given that we would want the entire cast to reprise their roles for the upcoming season, and here’s everything we know so far. Derry Girl’s star Nicola Coughlan will be returning as Penelope aka Lady Whistledown. And her love interest for this season will be Like Newton, reprising his role as Colin. We haven’t had a chance to see their chemistry blossom completely just yet, but we will be seeing a lot more of that in Bridgerton Season 3! 

The other cast members who will be returning for Bridgerton Season 3 are Simone Ashley, who will be stepping away from her role in the popular Netflix series, Sex Education because she’s a Bridgerton girl now. Joining her will he Jonathan Bailey, and it will be a treat to see him play the married and loved-up Anthony. Claudia Jessie, Luke Thompson, Ruth Gemelli, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, and Phoebe Dynevor will also be a part of Bridgerton Season 3! 

The return of Charithra Chandran as Edwina Sharma hasn’t been confirmed just yet. However, the actress has previously expressed her thoughts of returning for another season if given the chance! We’d love to see her back for another season because when Anthony gets on Kate’s nerves, she should have her sister around to vent to. 

There might be some new cast members joining Bridgerton Season 3 and we can’t wait to see how they stir the already boiling pot! 

When and Where Can You Watch Bridgerton Season 3?

We must thank Netflix for renewing Bridgerton for another season, which also means that Bridgerton Season 3 will exclusively be available to stream on Netflix. As for the release date, we don’t have a concrete date just yet. However, production for the upcoming season wrapped up in December 2022, which means we will be able to stream Bridgerton Season 3 in 2023, or at least that’s what we hope for. Is There a Trailer for Bridgerton Season 3?

As of now, there is no trailer for Bridgerton Season 3, but we can expect one closer to the release date. However, Netflix did release a rather wholesome cast video, announcing that Bridgeton Season 3 was now in production. We also see Luke and Nicola getting into a carriage together, so we sure hope there will be a lot more of that in the actual season! 

Will there be a Bridgerton Season 4?

There’s good news for Bridgerton fans all across the world! When Bridgerton Season 3 was renewed, Netflix also announced the renewal of Season 4! Although we don’t know a lot about the fourth season just yet, we have a feeling will dive into the life and love of Benedict Bridgerton. We can’t wait to learn more about the future of Bridgerton, and hopefully, season 3 drops some major hints.
