Buddy Daddies Season 2: Release Date, Trailer And More

Since Buddy Daddies’ last episode ended, everyone has been waiting for Buddy Daddies season 2 news, and currently, it is the most hyped comedy anime after Tomo chan is a girl.

The series’ last episode was released on March 31, 2023, and with its wholesome and enthralling story, it left a long-lasting impression on fans, but now the question is whether there will be any Buddy Daddies season 2 or not. Will there be a movie? or We will need to wait for another century just like Bleach anime?

We must admit that the balance between slice of life, comedy, and other relevant elements played out so well, it felt like watching a Spy x Family in another universe where the duo is friends instead of strangers meeting up by chance.

Since the end of Buddy Daddies, fans have been flooding all over social media for another season, but will we be getting it? If yes, then when?

Buddy Daddies Season 2 Release Date

We hate to break this to you, but Buddy Daddies season 2 has a 50% chance of getting another sequel because the source material is limited and is not enough to cover another sequel. If we look at its popularity and fan base, then it is quite good and better than average so the deciding factor is time here.

All we can say is that if the franchise does decide to release a sequel then we will be getting the news by Fall 2023, else there is little hope for it to get another sequel this year or the next year. We know that even if the story was wrapped up well, we still want to see Rei and Kazuki papa again, oh yes! Miri too!

Buddy Daddies Season 2 Release Date

None of the studios have said anything yet, Aniplex, Nitroplus, and PA works have remained silent on Buddy Daddies season 2. Plus, the ending was well-deserved and ended with a happy ending as Kazuki and Rei start up a restaurant to stay as a real family with Miri. They leave their excruciating pasts and dirty jobs behind for a fresh start. In the end, we see that Miri turned fourteen and all the characters are content with their life.

As there were no cliffhangers, like Tower of God, or Attack on Titan, hence there is the least possibility of Buddy Daddies season 2, although a spin-off sequel may get aired that also totally depends on the production house.

Maybe the spin-off can cover the life after she turns fourteen and their past haunts them back by kidnapping Miri? Who knows? There is no limit to our imaginations, right? Anything can happen.

Buddy Daddies Plot

The story of Buddy Daddies follows Kazuki and Rei who work as assassins and have contrasting personalities which make them perfect for the comical series. On one of their missions, they stumble upon a four-year-old kid named Miri and end up taking her in due to certain unfavorable circumstances.

Where to Watch Buddy Daddies season 2?

You will be able to watch Buddy Daddies season 2 on Crunchyroll if it releases as Crunchyroll has already licensed the anime before.

Conclusion

I would give it a 10/10 because it kept me hooked throughout the series with its unpredictability, comedy, and story. The only thing I would complain about is that the episodes were short and they should have at least released a 24-episode anime rather than a 12-episode one.

But as the series is an original animation series, it does have a chance of getting another sequel as the source is not taken from manga or light novels like other anime.
