New Sword Discovered

Tanjiro finally defeats the mechanical doll designed by the previous demon slayers from the Sengoku era named Yorichii and gets his hands on a special blade but the sword is in no condition to slay someone down and that’s when Hagenezuka appears and takes the sword from Tanjiro and some funny visual gas follows which breaks the intensity of the anime.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 3 Review

Tanjiro and Genya’s Friendly Rivalry

After this we see Tanjiro having a friendly conversation with Genya, the conversation was cut short by Genya saying that Tanjiro is a creep and kicking him out of the room. But our boy Tanjiro is a strong-willed person and starts taking care of Nezuko by braiding her hair.

Tanjiro and Genya's Friendly Rivalry

After Genya learns of Tanjiro acquiring the sword from the Sengoku period, we can sense a rivalry similar to Bakugo and Midoriya from My Hero Academia. This episode shifts back and forth between action and wholesome moments of Nazuko and Tanjiro’s sibling love.

We see both Nezuko and Tanjiro enjoying the night like there’s no worry about tomorrow or worries about getting attacked. We see a vase and that’s when the e[isode takes a drastic turn as people sense there’s something peculiar about it.

The appearance of Upper-Rank Moons

Finally, Gyokko is introduced and his chattering eyes are something that one is bound to look at whenever he speaks. The episode emphasizes a lot on Gyokko and his power. It’s always said that bad news never has good timing and so happens in Demon Slayer.

Just after 2 episodes we finally see two upper moons starting their attack on the village where upper moon 5 attacks the villagers and meanwhile upper moon 4 attacks the demon slayers. The worst battle plan is that Hantengu always put himself in harm’s way and to decapitations. By the time heroes get to know of his power it’s too late as he has broken down into four more clones.

The appearance of Upper-Rank Moons

The best scene was when Tanjiro snaps while betting on which demon to attack first. All I would say is that the second act is electrifying and filled with great actions and storytelling. Our heroes are forced to think out of the box and come up with a plan to defeat the demons. We see many of the heroes attacking and showing off their skills as the tension builds up.

Is the New Demon Unbeatable?

At the time of the attack, Tanjiro and Muichirou was together and manage to cut the head of upper moon 4 but to their surprise, he regenerates back and has two body. After recovering the demon screams and sends Muichirou flying away. While the upper moon four was destroying Tanjiro, Genya sneaks up and beheads the upper moon again and making him split again.

Is the New Demon Unbeatable?

In an instant upper moon stabs Genya and takes Tanjiro and flies into the sky, while Tanjiro manages to slash him, Tanjiro falls and notices the upper moon 4 regenerating from the arm and now preparing a sonic attack

The episode ends with Tanjiro who is about to get blasted by the supersonic beam of the upper moon and on the other side Muichirou tries to save Kotetsu with the spawn of upper demon 5.

Conclusion

This episode is like setting the stage for the climax as something great is yet to come. The stakes are high and there will be a lot of bloodsheds but the question is whether they will be able to survive without making any sacrifices like Rengoku or not.
