The setting of story takes place on the Hachijo-jima island south of central Tokyo. Many engineers from around the globe gather on the island to witness the launch of new technology that will connect all law enforcement camera systems globally and enable facial recognition worldwide. Conan, our main protagonist gets invited to the event by Sonoko.
No sooner than he reaches the island, he gets a message from Subaru Okiya that a Europol agent has been murdered in Germany by Black’s Organisation Gin. Determined to uncover the truth Conan takes a tour of the facility. As he wanders around, he witnesses a female engineer getting kidnap by Black Organisation for the data stored in her USB device.
