Paramount and EOne have not yet officially announced Dungeons and Dragons 2. We would, however, love to go back to the Forgotten Realms if the first film can build on its positive critical reception with a respectable box office performance.
Since Honour Among Thieves is primarily a stand-alone narrative, there isn’t any overt setup for a sequel, not even in the brilliant mid-credit sequence.
Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, a writing-directing team, are eager for another campaign, though. They claimed that there are a lot of locations they could go to if they are fortunate enough to have another one. We’d love to follow the development of these fantastic characters they’ve made over the next year or two.
Let’s hope they get the opportunity because Paramount and eOne are undoubtedly betting big on the show. For now, let’s just concentrate on the action on the large screen. Here is all the information you require regarding a possible Dungeons and Dragons 2.
We don’t yet know what the Dungeons and Dragons 2 story will entail. However, we are very aware of how happily Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves concluded. Given this, it is likely that the adventuring party will encounter a new threat and aid a new town in any possible sequel. The group was transformed into the Neverwinter champions in the previous film.
We anticipate seeing them set out and begin gathering those titles throughout the Forgotten Realms. Additionally, there are a lot of character arcs that could be explored in a sequel. Forge’s deforestation misdeeds have left Doric’s house still healing. The Red Wizards are once more attempting to rule the universe, which Xenk Yendar, a paladin, must contend with.
The Harpers are next in line. It appears that Edgin is eager to put his life of crime behind; if so, does this imply that he will permanently rejoin the Harpers? Or will he return to his old habits and lead his pals back into legal trouble? There are many directions Dungeons and Dragons 2 could go in, such as a possible Forge escape plot.
In either case, we are hopeful that Paramount will commission a fresh action film and launch a franchise for all of these intrepid travelers. Keep a watch on this page, as we’ll update it with the most recent information.
There is no Dungeons and Dragons 2 cast list as of this writing. However, once a sequel is revealed, we anticipate seeing the lead actors from the first film return. It follows that Chris Pine, who played Edgin, will return, as well as Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Simon, Sophia Lillis, Doric, and Chloe Coleman.
Regé-Jean Page as Xenk will probably return as well, even though he wasn’t a prominent character in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. This is because of his relationship with the Harpers and fascinating backstory. In the meantime, we anticipate a lot of brand-new antagonists in a sequel.
Hugh Grant’s performance as Forge was a standout, and we hope he will be back in some capacity. He could make a comeback either as a new villain or as someone looking for forgiveness. It’s doubtful that Daisy Head will reprise her role as Sofina. We’re also willing to wager, though, that in a follow-up, fresh Red Wizards will take her position.
Or maybe a new group of friends will join the Red Wizards. Extras portraying members of the Cult of the Dragon have been glimpsed on the set of Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves. So who knows, maybe Dungeons and Dragons 2 will introduce us to a fresh batch of cinematic baddies. Watch this space for more information.
As of April 2023, no release date for Dungeons & Dragons 2 has been determined. However, given how well-received the comedy film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has been, it appears as though a second will soon be approved by Paramount.
Despite not having planned for one, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley have said they are amenable to sequels.
Therefore, it is highly probable that Dungeons & Dragons 2 will be released at some point. In addition, if everything proceeds according to plan, we should get some news in early 2024. The first movie was shot in April-August 2021. Additionally, after a few shifts in release date, it was released on March 31, 2023.
We could anticipate a sequel in early 2025 if it is approved and goes into production later this year or in early 2024. However, for the time being, all of this is just conjecture while we wait for Paramount and eOne to officially announce the sequel.
In the conflict of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the protagonists triumphed. However, there are still evil powers at large that require attention in a follow-up.
The film’s directors stated in a recent interview that if they are fortunate enough to create a sequel, they do have some ideas for it.
There are many potential directions they could go with a successor, but for the time being, we’ll just have to wait and see.
