Edens Zero Season 1 Plot
Edens Zero is a story about Shiki Granbell, a human and gravity Ether Gear user who lived among robots in a deserted theme park in Sakura Cosmos. Shiki finds two space-traveling B-cubers- Rebecca Bluegarden and her robotic companion Happy (whom Shiki befriends). Unfortunately, their time together does not last long as the robots force Rebecca and happy off the planet to prevent Shiki from leaving the place as well.
But Rebecca and Happy take off along with Shiki to explore the universe and find the Mother the wish-fulfilling Goddess of the Cosmos whom Shiki already is acquainted with. Shiki receives an interstellar warship from the space pirate Elsie Crimson on his journey which gives him a head start for his voyage.
Shiki prepares for the voyage by searching for the four shining stars which would lead him to the Mother. Along his journey, he recruits new crewmates Weisz Steiner (a criminal), E.M. Pino (an EMP android), and Homura Kogetsu (a young swordsman).

Edens Zero Season 1 Short Review
Being a Fairy Tail fan, I have enjoyed watching the series. Yes, Rave was more original and the best work of Hiro so far but comparing two different anime is not good because every anime has its own story to offer. The characters are drawn nicely and cleanly just like the manga illustrations. the sound design is breathtakingly spectacular, not to forget the voice actor’s acting as well.
Contrary to most of the beliefs and comments, Edens Zero is not just a “Fairytail in Space remake” even if it has the same style and author, it still has interesting designs and only a few characters have been taken up from Fairy Tail till now. I would say that the anime has the potential to surpass Fairy Tail. There are tons of differences in settings which makes it different from other Mashima’s works.
Conclusion
I would say that Edens Zero is like an improved version of Fairy tail and is working to make anime better. Apart from Mashima’s same-face syndrome and a few complicated parts, the anime is enjoyable. Edens Zero Season 1 did grab the attention of a lot of viewers leading to another season that is still creating a buzz online. We expect that the anime will keep improving and should be watched without any bias.
Let me know whether you will be watching Edens Zero Season 2 this April or not in the comments section below.
