Everyone patiently waits for new Pixar movies almost all the time, and that wait has ended. Pixar is bringing its audience a brand-new world to immerse themselves into, and from what we know, there are plenty of exciting things in store for everyone. Pixar is best known for making movies that create a whole new world, while also being fun and heartfelt. Some of the most famous Pixar movies include Inside Out, Up, Finding Dory, Brave, Toy Story, and The Incredibles amongst others. So if you’ve watched an animated movie that you like, it is highly possible that it is a Pixar movie, which puts our faith in their upcoming project, Elemental.
Apart from making some great movies, Pixar also excels in giving life to objects and emotions, and in this case, elements! Have you thought about what would happen if elements had feelings too? What is the Plot of Elemental?
The premise of Elemental is fairly straightforward as the movie explores the thoughts and feelings of the four elements: air, water, fire, and earth. However, how they navigate these emotions with the help of a gripping storyline is what we have most to look forward to, because Pixar has a knack for storytelling in some of the most creative and emotional ways, and we do not doubt that Elementals will be the same!
The movie Elemental revolves around Element City, where all the different elements reside. We don’t just mean four residents as elements, Element City doesn’t really have regular human beings, instead, each and every resident is an element. The city is hustling and bustling with all the elements doing their thing, whether it’s riding a train, doing their daily chores, or just communicating with one another. However, by the looks of it, the fire elements are a little secluded from the rest of the city, and while we don’t have an official explanation as to why it is that way just yet, we’re certain that the Elemental movie will answer all your questions in no time. Although plenty is happening in Element City, the main plotline focuses on two characters, Ember and Wade.
Ember is a fire element, and Wade is a water element. Can those two elements ever get along? Ideally, they do if someone wants to put a fire out, but that doesn’t seem like the strongest base for a friendship, or something more. Albeit, they are opposites, Ember and Wade realize they have a lot more in common than they thought, and strike up an unlikely relationship. However, will this impact the people around them? Will others be accepting of this? Well, you’ll have to watch Elemental to find that out!
The Cast of Elemental
Since Elemental will be set in a busy city, with several elements in play, we can expect to hear a lot of different voices and tones from start to finish. However, as mentioned before, Elemental will revolve around two main characters, and those are Ember and Wade. Now the actor and actress who play these two characters must put their best foot forward because clearly, a whole lot depends on them.
Ember will be voiced by Leah Lewis. While Lewis has already established herself as a talented actress at a young age, this will be her first time voice acting, and we applaud Pixar for giving opportunities to new and upcoming voice artists and what better place to start than with Pixar? As for Wade, the cool, go-with-the-flow kind of guy, who is the opposite of the firecracker that Ember is Mamoudou Athie. Again, Athie has established himself as an actor, but this will also be his first voice-acting gig, just like Leah Lewis. We love Pixar raising an entire generation of voice artists. Not to forget, both these actors come from culturally and creatively diverse backgrounds, which has made Pixar fans incredibly thrilled about the casting choice.
When and Where Can You Watch Elemental?
The release date of Elemental might be a little while away, but it will be the first Pixar movie of 2023. Elemental will officially release on the 16th of June, 2023. So far, there has been no news on whether or not it will release in the theatres, but it is entirely possible since the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. However, eventually, Elemental will be available to stream on Disney+.
Is There a Trailer for Elemental?
The official teaser trailer for Elemental is everything you’d want it to be, and Pixar has knocked it out of the park this time around. The Elemental teaser trailer starts with Ember entering a busy train with her hood on, and all the elements busy in their own…element, and Ember seems to be the only fire element around. She keeps her hood on, head down, minding her own business until a few of Wade’s droplets fall on her. If that isn’t a meet-cute, we don’t know what it is. The trailer doesn’t reveal too much, and it’s the perfect amount of plot and setting, frankly. It will be interesting to see how the fire elements live in Element City and the progression of Ember and Wade’s relationship. What we can guarantee is that Elemental will be a visually stunning masterpiece with a whole lot of fun and emotions!
