The Project OPEN Media Hub: Networking, on-the-job training and support to media professionals across the EU Neighbourhood area (EuropeAid/136510/DH/SER/Multi) is part of the European Union Programme OPEN Neighbourhood: opportunities, participation, engagement and networking” and is implemented by a consortium led by Thomson Foundation. The Consortium includes Action Global, European Journalism Centre, Free Press Unlimited, France Médias Monde, Ipsos Mori and Particip. The OPEN Media Hub project follows up on two previous EU funded projects – the Media Neighborhood and the European Neighbourhood Journalism Network.
On December 19-21 OPEN Media Hub is organizing an Advanced Print and Online training for reporters in Tbilisi, Georgia. This is a three-day news production-orientated course designed to expand industry relevant skills of the participants from print and online media. Thematically the production will be targeted at topical issues and developments in high impact EU related story areas, matching skills needs to stories, strengthening institutional and individual capacity to deliver quality EU coverage at critical moments. The events are being coordinated in terms of timing and priority themes with the EU and may include presentations by selected guest speakers addressing specific priority issues.
