The In Depth Training for broadcast is a 6 day course that will cover news production; editorial / filming skills – writing and editing skills course, the aim is to produce stories in real time for real output to be broadcast on TV and shared on the OPEN Media Hub TV exchange platform.
The training will have a special focus on topical issues surrounding the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU recently coming into full force.
The participants will be asked to prepare and cover stories on issues that will be discussed during the first 2 days of the training (see schedule below) with the following trainers: Anthony Headley, Simon Hustings and Ludmilla Barba.
MEET THE TRAINERS
Simon Hustings has more than 15 years’ experience in broadcast news, documentary filmmaking and corporate communications. He specialises in media production and post production, techniques, equipment and workflows. Over the years he has worked with BBC, EBU, ARD, UNDP, the Ethical Journalism Network and a number of high profile corporate clients and NGOs. Over the past 9 years, he has been involved in a variety of media training programmes and in-house consultancies in Neighbourhood countries, working with participants of all ages, background and abilities. He has experience working in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Jordan, Turkey, Israel, Egypt & Ukraine.
Ludmila Barba is an accomplished journalist with 27 years of experience with Moldovan media. She is the Chief of TV Moldova International Department at Teleradio-Moldova. She is also an experienced trainer, having taught TV Journalism at Moldovan State University and having been a Mentor in the EU funded Media Neighbourhood project. She believes in Moldova’s European destiny and since 2004 she run the show “European Vector” on public television Moldova 1.
Anthony Headley, Senior executive producer @ Open Media Hub. With more than 25 years in TV Production and post production Anthony brings with him up-to-date television industry and production experience crucial to the success of the project. He has worked with CNN, Canal+, Al Jazeera and Associated Press Television News. He has been running TV news desk and operations including project management and budgeting of TV productions. He has over 5 years of experience in Neighbourhood countries having worked in Occupied Palestinian Territories, Jordan, Israel, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Anthony Headley is a native speaker in both English and French. He has a working knowledge of Russian.
