Master Class in Print and Online Media Management – Morocco

On April 4-5, 2017 the OPEN Media Hub is organising a Master Class in Media Management for Print and Online Media in Casablanca. The Master Class is designed for managers and senior editors of print and online media from Morocco and will focus on issues such as:

  • Strategies for survival and development of print and online media in a digital world;
  • Challenges and trends in multi-platform journalism;
  • Integrated newsrooms;
  • Editorial and overall organisational management.

Meet the trainer:

Peyman Pejman was an international print and broadcast journalist for more than 20 years and has worked in almost all countries in the Middle East and North Africa. During his career, he covered international events ranging from the Iranian revolution and the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon to the first Palestinian Intafada and the 2003 invasion of Iraq. He also has taught journalism and communications at various universities, including the American University in Cairo (AUC), and worked as a communications officer for international organisations and the United Nations. 

He  brings to the Master Class in Media Management:

  • More than 25 years of experience as a journalist, journalism professor, communications consultant;
  • Excellent researching, writing, editing, interviewing, presentation skills;
  • Expertise in:
    • Strategic Planning and Implementation
    • Managing multi-platform content;
    • Newsroom management, including integrated newsrooms and newsroom workflow
    • Handling social media and user-generated content
    • “Foreign Desk” management.
