The Project OPEN Media Hub: Networking, on-the-job training and support to media professionals across the EU Neighbourhood area (EuropeAid/136510/DH/SER/Multi) is part of the European Union Programme OPEN Neighbourhood: opportunities, participation, engagement and networking” and is implemented by a consortium led by Thomson Foundation. The Consortium includes Action Global, European Journalism Centre, Free Press Unlimited, France Médias Monde, Ipsos Mori and Particip. The OPEN Media Hub project follows up on two previous EU funded projects – the Media Neighborhood and the European Neighbourhood Journalism Network.
On April 11-12, 2017 the OPEN Media Hub is organising a Master Class in Media Management for Broadcast Media from Algeria.
The Master Class will have a special focus on management and development in the digital world.
It will cover news management and transformation, the digital revolution, reputation management and positioning, editorial integrity, multi-platform content, giving broadcasters the trade skills they need to expand their audiences across converged platforms.
Born in Tunis in 1952, graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Zine El Abidine Hamda has had a professional life shared between teaching and the media. A co-founder of the Tunisian section of Amnesty International, he is currently General Secretary of Al-Jamiaa Al-Maftouha. Zine El Abidine Hamda was News Producer –writer researcher with MBC; Head of Productions, Head of Programming , Deputy Vice President, North Africa development & productions and Vice President Arabic Channels with ORBIT Communication Company, Radio & television Network (Italy). He has been organising production operations: planning, logistics, budgets, filming, planning and budgeting acquisitions. He is a director of documentaries on cultural diversity in the Mediterranean, his latest film, La Mané des Sables, tells the story of the group of small singers of the cathedral of Tunis from the 1950s to the present day. Correspondent in Paris since 2013 of the daily Al-Maghrib, he published a novel, Les Héritiers infidèles, Éditions Amalthée, Nantes. His latest book is an essay, “Political Islam in the Face of Tunisian Society. From political compromise to historical compromise?”
