Faraway might not be released on Valentine’s Day, but it will surely make you fall in love with love all over again, This movie is going to lift your spirits up and make you want to travel the world, and discover yourself. We are almost certain that Faraway is also going to be one of the most underrated movies of 2023, but that only gives your more incentive to watch it.

What Is The Plot of Faraway?
Faraway is going to be a romance movie with a sprinkle of drama and comedy mixed in it. By the looks of it, this movie is all about finding yourself, finding love, and falling in love all over again. Before we dive into the plot details of Faraway, let’s take a look at the official synopsis of the movie given by Netflix:
“Zeynep is unhappy and her life has not turned out as she wanted. That’s why she flees to a Croatian island, where her deceased mother bought a house long ago. She hopes to find peace and relaxation finally – but she hasn’t reckoned with Josip, who still lives on the property …”
As we can see from the synopsis, Faraway will have the main protagonist Zeynep who hasn’t had the best life so far. Whether it is her love life or her job, Zeynep has nothing going right for her. Much like a lot of people, Zeynep is also going through a mid-life crisis, or an existential crisis as people like to call it today, and she decides to do the one thing that makes the most sense to her, she runs away.
She literally packs her bags and decides to go away to Croatia where her mother who passed away had bought a house. This seems like the best decision for Zeynep, a life away from her problems, and hoping for a fresh start, but she doesn’t realize that there is much more in store for her.
When Zeynep arrives at her mother’s home on the island, she finds herself in bed with a stranger, and we don’t mean a drunken escapade or a one-night stand. Turns out, the second protagonist of Faraway, is a gorgeous man named Josip, who always lives in Zeynep’s mother’s house. Initially, the two of them don’t really start off on the right foot, with unwelcomed remarks from Josip and justified frustration from Zeynep who was looking forward to her time alone.
But, at the end of the day. Faraway is a romance movie, and as time goes by, the two of them learn to co-exist together while also falling in love. It isn’t the conventional romance, but it works for them perfectly.
Zeynep and Josip are truly something else, and this entire journey will help Zeynep realize that she was destined to come here all along, that her mother wanted her to come here in order to find herself and reinvent her life. So, tag along with Zeynep and Josip as they embark on this journey together, because it surely will be one of a kind, and we can’t wait for it.
The Cast of Faraway
We are truly excited about the cast of Faraway because it involves some very talented actors and actresses, but our lead character Zeynep will be played by Naomi Krauss, who is finally making her Netflix debut, which has been long overdue. Naomi Krauss is best known for her work on the movies 8 Uhr 28 and International.
She might still be finding her place in the movie industry, but we are certain that with her debut on Netflix, there are bound to be some great things lined up for her in the future. Joining her, we have Josip, who will be played by Goran Bogdan. He is a Croatian actor, best known for his work in movies like Father, The Uncle, Goran, and Agape. We can already see that Naomi and Goran are about to have some brilliant chemistry on screen and it will be something to look forward to.
Other cast members who will be joining Naomi and Goran in Faraway are Adnan Maral, Bahar Balci, Artjom Gilz, and Davor Tomic. This movie will be multilingual and will do well all across Europe with languages including German, Turkish, English, and of course, Croatian.
When and Where Can You Watch Faraway?
As we said before, Faraway won’t be a Valentine’s Day release although it seems perfect for the occasion, instead, Faraway is slated to release on the 8th of March. So, the wait for the upcoming movie won’t be too long.
Faraway will be exclusively available to stream on Netflix, so if you haven’t renewed your subscription yet, now is a perfect time.
Is There a Trailer for Faraway?
Netflix recently dropped the official trailer for Faraway and we are in love. The trailer is so full of love and life, and we can’t wait to see more of that in the movie. The trailer gives us a little glimpse into how things will progress in Zeynep’s life, and especially her love life.
However, the trailer also shows us that this movie isn’t just about love or sex, but there will be plenty more to look forward to. We highly recommend watching the trailer because it will give you a good idea of what you can expect from Faraway, and definitely make you smile.
