The article looks at the examples of two Tunisian associations, one environmental and one engaged with women’s rights, who have benefitted from EU support. Since the Tunisian revolution the EU has funded over 4000 associations in all the 24 regions of the country for a total of 3,4 million EUR. Associations however are facing difficulties with the administrative procedures of EU funded support. In the article the director of PASC, (Programme d’appui à la Société Civile, Program for the Support of Civil Society) of the EU, Imed Abdeljaoued, assures the associations they are working on the simplifications of procedures and on the development of application documents available also in Arabic.
