Title: Life after hell: names, voices and faces of refugees who have faced horror on their journey to Europe
Short summary: To realize ‘Life after Hell’, during the summer of 2017 Marco Panzetti visited 5 5refugee reception centers in Italy, from the alpine village of Vedeseta, to the north, to the Sicilian city of Messina, to the south. The result is a reportage where scenes of everyday life are combined with portraits of asylum seekers to reveal their sometimes shocking testimonies about Libya, the crossing of the Mediterranean and, in general, their situation in Italy.
This story follows up on the story “Troubled Waters” which won the First Place, Video Category in the 2017 Migration Media Award
