Short summary: In recent years, Morocco has turned from a transit station to the European Mediterranean coast to a haven for thousands of sub-Saharan African migrants who have made Morocco their permanent home. What “tempted” them to stay in a country where the overwhelming majority of the youth dream of leaving? The article examines this paradox of a country that “exports” and “imports”migrants at the same time.
