Title: Sinisha’s Work
Short summary:
The main aim of the six piece investigative report on posted workers was to expose the miserable conditions that numerous workers from the Balkans are faced with on a daily basis after being sent to work in Germany or other EU Member States via Slovenia. They are often low-paid, live in terrible conditions, and do not have proper documents. Fifty-year-old Siniša Marinković from Bosnia and Herzegovina has experienced the whole spectrum of exploitative labour practices and through the angle of his story the investigative report was very illustrative and particularly explicit in numerous details. Through the personal story we are trying to address the true dimensions of social dumping and exploitation in the labour market.
The field work consisted of travelling to Germany, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina and to several sites in Slovenia, interviewing numerous sources, collecting data and performing research.
