In recent years, one of the best things about Marvel has been the love and appreciation that the Guardians of the Galaxy have received. This group has never been the most popular in the comics compared to the likes of Avengers or Thunderbolts.
Still, despite that, they have made a massive mark on the screen, which is why everyone is more than thrilled about the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Recently, we saw the Guardians in a holiday special, and given how happy things were in those forty-two minutes, we all knew that it wouldn’t last forever. Things are about to get real with your favorite superheroes, and we’re here to try and fill you in on everything we know.

What is the Plot of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3?
At this moment, it is too soon to have a concrete conclusion regarding the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, however, we have a few hints of what might escalate in the upcoming movie. The official synopsis released by Marvel Studios is extremely vague but gives us some idea of what we can expect:
“Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians.”
We’ve known for a while that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be a lot darker than the first two movies, and we can expect a significant character death by the movie’s end. However, we know that the Guardians are making their way through different planets, trying their best to do the right thing.
While some people contemplated the return of Gamora, we knew that she would return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. How her return plays out and how her relationship with Guardians evolves is still unknown.
We are also hoping for more backstory for some characters, especially Rocket, along with Mantis and Peter’s relationship, which was revealed in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will also feature Adam Warlock for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and according to the comics, he is more potent than Thanos! So, it will be interesting to see how his character plays out in the movie.

The Cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has some of the most talented cast members who have become fan favorites throughout the last few years. They bring charm, humor, emotions, and more to the table. On the front and center, we have Star-Lord, aka Peter Quill, who will be played by none other than Chris Pratt.
Quill has had a lovely Christmas with Kevin Bacon, but now it is time to get back to business. Fans are thrilled that Zoe Saldana is reprising her role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Gamora. Although we loved seeing her in her new Netflix series, From Scratch, it is time she makes her way back to the MCU.
Joining the two will be Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis. Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper will be voicing Groot and Rocket, respectively.
Joining the cast we have Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, Chukwudi Iwuji as High Evolutionary, and Daniela Melchior as Nico Santos. However, their roles in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are currently unknown.
When and Where Can You Watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3?
The official release date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was announced less than a day ago at Brazil Comic Con 2022. While the movie’s release date is later than we had hoped, it will drop in the year’s first half. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will officially release on the 5th of May, 2023.
Undoubtedly, the movie will get the big screen treatment like all Marvel Studios productions and will be available to watch in theatres near you. Besides, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will also be available to stream on Disney+ after the theatrical release.
Is There a Trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3?
The official trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 just dropped, and fans have been shocked because the release date isn’t until May 2023. We’re hoping this is the first of many clips, first looks, and trailers, but you can never tell with James Gunn or Marvel.
Nevertheless, the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has taken over all social media since its release, and fans have been going through a series of emotions because of it.
Usually, Guardians of the Galaxy movies are known for their sense of humor and light-heartedness, with a hint of sadness and tragedy, but by the looks of it, this upcoming movie will have a lot of tragedy.
Fans have already started guessing which Guardian will die in this movie, and it looks like a debate between Mantis and Rocket. While the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has been an emotional ride, we are glad to see Gamora back on our screens!
