When Jesse loses interest in Dana, who is the perfect woman that his friends love, and Sophie turns down a very attractive chef, it feels like the perfect moment for Jesse and Sophie to finally get together and have a big confession.

Fans are definitely divided because while some are rooting for Jesse and Sophie, others are convinced that they aren’t meant to be together. Nevertheless, we are certain there will be a Jesse and Sophie moment in the season finale, but how it progresses and plays into the narrative will be an interesting watch.
The official synopsis of How I Met Your Father Season 2 Episode 10 reads as follows: “Sophie dates an older man, which encourages Jesse, Sid, and Charlie to take better care of themselves; Sophie and Val battle over who gets the apartment for date night.”
Well, while this wasn’t what we expected, now we are convinced that the season finale will end on a cliffhanger. The synopsis mentioned Sophie dating an older guy, and we are hoping it’s the chef from the last episode, because who else will make different types of ranch dressing for her?
Clearly, Jesse, Charlie, and Sid are going to bring the humor in this episode, but what’s caught our eye is Val having a date. We have been waiting for Val to get a love interest, and we can’t wait to see if it’s Charlie.
This season could pull a page out of the classic sitcom book, pairing Val and Charlie, and Sophie and Jesse towards the end of the season finale.
The one thing that we are truly hoping for when it comes to Episode 10 is a major cameo that had been teased earlier, aka Barney Stinson. Our theory is that he is Sophie’s father, but how that will play out, is a mystery.
Which Cast Members Can You Expect to See in How I Met Your Father Season 2 Episode 10?
Hilary Duff, Francia Raisa, Chris Lowell, Tom Ainsley, Suraj Sharma, and Tien Tran will take the center stage in the season finale because the episode simply won’t be the same without the main gang.
Kim Cattrall will be back for playing the role of future Sophie, and we can also expect Josh Peck and Ashley Reyes to make an appearance.
Of course, we know everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for Neil Patrick Harris aka Barney Stinson to appear in Episode 10, and if he does, it really will be the cherry on top!
