In 2000, the cast members of Friends banded together and negotiated backend points which allowed them to earn royalties as the show was sold into syndication. Jennifer Joanna Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California, on February 11, 1969. As a child, she moved with her family to New York City. When she was 11 years old, she discovered her love of acting while attending a Waldorf school. She was accepted to and enrolled in the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, also attended by stars like Nicki Minaj, Timothée Chalamet, and even Eartha Kitt. They divorced when Jennifer was nine years old. Her father was born on the Greek island of Crete, and her mother’s family is of Irish, Scottish, English, and some Greek descent.
