Loving Yamada at Lv999 Episode 4 has just been released, and it calls for a review because it’s as good as Oshi No Ko in terms of animation and story. Loving Yamada at Lv999 Episode 3 Recap
In the previous episode of Loving Yamada at Lv999, we witnessed a romantic rollercoaster ride as we wished for Yamada to be single so that he and Akane can become a future couple.
The episode started with Akane going on group dates, we see her getting more excited while playing the game than attending the date which; tells us she is crushing hard on Yamada.
Later the same day, Akane finds Yuruhime and Yamada talking and giggling together which makes her uncomfortable and jealous. She starts assuming that maybe Yuruhime and Yamada secretly love one another. In the next half of the episode, Akane gets invited to a guild meeting by Yuruhime but the identity of Yuruhime is not revealed in episode 3 and we are left with many questions.
As Akane goes for the guild meet she gets lost and gets help by a guy who is also headed the same way. As she reaches the place, she finds Yamada with a gothic loli girl whom she assumes to be Ruruhime, and thus the episode ends.

Loving Yamada at Lv999 Episode 4 Review
Tensed Meeting
The Loving Yamada at Lv999 Episode 4 starts from where it had left off. We see everyone sitting at the table everyone in their world, some members are talking enthusiastically about their passion while others are just observing others.
The tense moment builds up when Akane tries to talk to the gothic loli assuming her to be Ruruhime and that’s when it gets revealed that the girl is Runa, Eita’s younger sister, and Eita is Ruruhime. I expected this already and I must say that I am sending a love triangle in the future.
What are Runa’s Intentions?
The episode gets dramatic as Runa keeps staring and interrogating Akane as Runa thinks Akane is like Yamada. Of course, Yamada is charming so how come he won’t have any other female trying to hit on him?
Well, Runa is going to be a tough competitor and a hurdle for Akane as she keeps giving her the chills.
Somehow the guild meetings end and we see that Runa is planning to make Akane quit the guild as she can’t bear her at all. We also got to know more about Yamada’s personality and that he remains insensitive almost all the time.
Yamada is a Gentleman
He is insensitive yet a gentleman because he lies about getting a call when he sees Akane feeling uncomfortable around him, he also doesn’t allows Akane to pick up broken pieces of glasses.
later, we see flashbacks of his memories where we see a small girl who looks similar to Akane, although; not much has been revealed; about it, we are hoping to learn more about his past in the upcoming episodes.
Yamada Lives All Alone
Akane on her way home learns that Yamada doesn’t cook and always eats food from outside so she goes out of the way and hands over a bag full of tiffins to him so that he could have a proper homecooked meal.
Akane gets a call from Runa and Runa asks whether they can meet and get closer and she also apologizes for her behavior.
But I think it’s a trap and she will do something to make Akane go away from Yamada’s life. Yamada who heard her conversation goes back home and checks the date of their meet up and that’s how the episode ends.
I think Yamada already knows what will happen and will try to save Akane from her trap. Well, these are just assumptions for now.

Overall, the episode was not as funny as the previous ones as it had a more serious tone and tense conversations.
