Marvel Phase 5 Release Dates: Mcu Release Dates You Need To Know

Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 has come to an end after the release of some brilliant projects like WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Solider, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever amongst several others.

.While fans were still deep into Phase 4 of the MCU, the creators decided to go ahead and announce Phase 5 and Phase 6 of the ever-expanding Universe. While some old characters are getting a newer and more elaborate treatment, Marvel Studios is also introducing some new characters altogether that have existed in the comics for a while now.

As 2022 draws to an end, it’s time we help you navigate the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and more importantly, the projects you should look forward to most.

2023 is going to be a big year for Marvel Studios and their fans as there are several movies and tv series slated to release in the upcoming year.

While we must continue to applaud Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of how brilliantly it was executed, it is also time to look into the future, as we tell you about the projects that you should look forward to the most! So, here’s a list of 5 Marvel Studios productions that you should look out for in 2023:

1. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

If you thought Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness was wild, you’re in for a ride with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Ant-Man has been one of the most underrated superheroes in the MCU, however, he has helped the Avengers save the Universe, while also being one of the funniest superheroes in the whole of the MCU.

However, by the looks of it, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is going to be a little more serious than the previous Ant-Man movies. Recently, at Brazil Comic Con, there was a special look at Ant-Man and his legacy, which also gave us a glimpse of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and most importantly, THE villain of Phase 5, Kang!

This upcoming movie is going to send us into a dimension that we couldn’t have ever imagined in our wildest dreams and will open gates for several new possibilities. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be the first in line for Phase 5, and definitely one that you need to look forward to because it will be one hell of an experience.

2. Secret Invasion

When Secret Invasion and its cast were first announced, fans worldwide were shocked and very excited to see Nick Fury return after he literally went MIA from Earth. Secret Invasion will be a TV mini-series created by Kyle Bradstreet, belonging to the spy-thriller genre.

So, this might take you away from the multiverse for a moment, but not everything about this series will be earthly. Secret Invasion revolves around the invasion of Skrulls on Earth, and fans are hoping that this mini-series takes after the comics, and we will find out soon enough if that is the case.

The series also boasts an ensemble cast and we aren’t just talking about Samuel L. Jack or Cobie Smulders, although we are looking forward to seeing them on our screens again. Secret Invasion will also feature Olivia Coleman, Emilia Clarke, Christopher McDonald, and Killian Scott amongst several others who will be making their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although Secret Invasion is a mini-series, we’re hoping this will help expand into something bigger, while also introducing the new characters in other Marvel projects. If the plot doesn’t convince you, we’re sure Nick Fury will!

3. Echo

In order to fully immerse yourself into the Disney+ series Echo, we would recommend watching the Hawkeye series which was one of the best parts of Phase 4 of the MCU. Even if you haven’t watched Hawkeye, Echo will be more of an origin story as well as the superhero, Echo aka Maya Lopez navigating her life after the events of the Hawkeye series.

Echo is one of the most interesting superheroes in Marvel comics, she also represents the indigenous and the deaf audience, which is a huge win for Marvel in terms of representation.

Echo also has some very important enemies, one of which includes Kingpin, and we’re almost certain that he will make an appearance in the upcoming series, Echo. From what we know so far, Maya Lopez is going back to her roots and hopefully, we learn more about her, the powers she possesses, and what lies ahead for her.

Marvel is doing a great job with giving more characters their own time to shine, and Echo surely will make a place for herself in Phase 4, and hopefully in the future phases of the MCU as well.

4. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The Guardians are back and better than ever! Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is probably the most anticipated movie of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we completely understand the hype surrounding it, because we’re excited too! After the holiday special, one theory was confirmed that Mantis and Peter are siblings, and we’re certainly more of this will be explored in Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3.

However, that isn’t even the most interesting part. According to the trailer, Gamora is back and it’s almost like all the prayers have been answered. While we knew she would eventually return, we weren’t sure in what capacity, but by the looks of it, she’s here to stay. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will also introduce some new characters while helping us learn a little more about our favorite Guardians.

Albeit, Phase 5 of the MCU seems to have taken a darker and more serious tone, which means Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will be an emotional rollercoaster and we recommend carrying some tissues with you! While you’re at it, do make sure you check out the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which was the last installment of Phase 4 of the MCU!

5. The Marvels

If you’re looking forward to The Marvels, it is safe to assume that you have either watched Captain Marvel movies, or the recent series on Disney+, titled, Ms. Marvel. Even if you haven’t been immersed in either of them, we still highly recommend The Marvels, because it’s going to be a Marvel project driven by some very strong women.

Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers and Ms. Marvel aka Kamala Khan will be the stars of the show. This movie will pick up from the post-credit scene of Ms. Marvel which showed Carol Danvers in Kamala’s bedroom, looking extremely confused.

Marvel has been careful about not giving away too many details, but we do know that there will be other characters appearing too, for example, Monica Rambeau, whom fans fell in love with after her performance in WandaVision. And of course, if there’s Captain Marvel, there should be Nick Fury present too!

Hopefully, we learn more about The Marvels closer to the release date, but we can guarantee that Kamala will have a fangirl moment when she finally meets her idol, Captain Marvel.

Conclusion

There you go! Those are the top five Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 5 projects that you should be looking forward to the most and will release in 2023. Hopefully, by this time next year, we will be able to rank all of them!

Do let us know which tv series or movie you’re more excited for. P.S. Secret Invasion might just be our favorite right now, because who doesn’t love seeing Earth being saved by heroes?
