Revenge stories are always interesting, and this season we have Masamune Kun’s Revenge R as a pseudo-revenge story, while most popular revenge stories are those where a guy is summoned to another world where he is betrayed, and then he takes revenge on everyone.
Unlike an isekai which is not much relatable, there is another highly relatable revenge story, yes high school revenge story. And this time it’s a sequel to our favorite Masamune series.

Masamune Kun’s Revenge Plot
Masamune was teased and bullied when he was small for being overweight. Masamune also had a crush on a girl named Aki but Aki rejected him and made fun of him. After all the humiliation Masamune shut himself and started working out to take his revenge on Aki. Masamune joins the high school of Aki after transforming himself into an attractive, intelligent, and athletic young guy.
Masamune Kun’s Revenge Season 1 Ending – Review
Starting with the great start and the ending, we would say that it was quite lackluster, the ending was selling off the source like saying “Read the manga for more.”
The second half was dragged and many things were looking unnecessary. While we were hoping Aki to press forward with the play we didn’t expect Masamune to step in to help for the missing Kanetsugu, despite the fact he was aggravating his condition and also helping his enemy.
Since the start of the series Masamune was focused on appearances, started as a trauma and later which became a narcissism, but there were also instances where he was genuinely invested in athletics
The disappointment from the last episode where the whole setup gets wasted and nothing happens. We get a karaoke contest, which is better if included in between the season rather than at the end, and the end is supposed to make a bang which will keep fans waiting for the next season.
