There had been a lot of talks and rumors about Murder Mystery 2, and fans were starting to lose hope, despite a sequel being in the works, since the first movie was released in 2019, d. However, if we have learned anything in the last few years is that sequels can come our way even a decade later (and yes, we are talking about Avatar: The Way of Water).
Murder Mystery 2 is going to have similar shenanigans and we can’t wait to tell you about the upcoming mystery romantic comedy, which truly is an interesting genre reserved for Murder Mystery.
In the first movie, the couple solved a crime, with a fair amount of hurdles on the way, and by the looks of it, they aren’t stopping any time soon, but we will discuss more of that in the plot section of the article.

What Is The Plot of Murder Mystery 2?
As the title suggests Murder Mystery 2 is going to be a mystery so there won’t be many plot details about the movie as a whole, but Netflix did release an official synopsis of Murder Mystery 2, and we are intrigued. The synopsis reads as follows:
Nick and Audrey Spitz are now full-time detectives trying to get their private eye agency off the ground. But, amid their business struggles, they find themselves at the center of an international scandal: Their friend, the Maharaja, is kidnapped at his own wedding. The sequel sees Nick and Audrey attempt to solve yet another mystery, finding and bringing home the Maharaja.
From the very first sentence of the synopsis, we already know the viewers are in for a treat because Nick and Audrey are now detectives, and it’s almost reminding us a little of Enola Holmes trying to get her detective agency off the ground.
In fact, the more you look at the synopsis of Murder Mystery 2, the more it sounds like Enola Holmes 2, but we’re sure there are going to be more than many differences between the two movies.
Like we said before since this is a murder mystery, the little details of the movie will be kept under wraps by the creators and producers, but hopefully, we will get a few hints before the release of the movie.
But, by the looks of it, Murder Mystery 2 will be fairly different from the first installment, other than the fact that Nick and Audrey are going to get themselves into trouble again, but will also definitely solve the crime.
The Cast of Murder Mystery 2
Viewers will be thrilled to know that their favorites are returning for Murder Mystery 2, and it is none other than Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, who will be reprising their roles as Nick and Audrey.
The first movie saw success because of the brilliant cast and the chemistry Aniston and Sandler share on screen. Murder Mystery isn’t their first collaboration, as the two have previously appeared in the 2011 romantic comedy, Just Go With. Both of them are also seasoned veterans when it comes to romantic comedies, so we do not doubt that they’re going to knock it out of the park when it comes to Murder Mystery 2.
The other cast members who will be joining Aniston and Sandler for Murder Mystery 2 are Adeel Akhtar, Mark Strong, Kuhoo Verma, Mélanie Laurent, Zurin Villanueva, John Kani, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Tony Goldwyn amongst others.
It will be interesting to see the different characters these cast members are set to play and how it will impact the mystery that’s about to escalate in Murder Mystery 2.
When and Where Can You Watch Murder Mystery 2?
We finally have a date so you can go ahead and mark your calendars because it isn’t too long until you can finally watch Murder Mystery 2. If you haven’t renewed your Netflix subscription yet, or are still contemplating on whether to buy, we say go ahead and do it before the 31st of March because that is officially the release date for Murder Mystery 2.
We know everyone has been waiting for this since 2019, and it is finally happening. As we mentioned before, Murder Mystery 2 will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. The filming locations for Murder Mystery 2 have been rumored to be somewhere ranging from Hawaii to Paris, so that will definitely be interesting.
Is There a Trailer for Murder Mystery 2?
Right now, there is no official trailer for Murder Mystery 2, however, Netflix did release a “save the date” for all their upcoming movies in 2023, and we caught a little glimpse of Murder Mystery 2.
The clip shows Nick and Audrey already in some kind of trouble, and there’s obviously the Aniston-Sandle comedy in place. You can watch the clip here and skip to 53 seconds if you want to watch a little teaser for Murder Mystery 2.
We can expect the official trailer for Murder Mystery 2 a few weeks before the release of the movie, so keep your eyes peeled for the trailer sometime in late February or early March. The trailer should give us a better idea of the location, characters, and what kind of mystery we can expect from Murder Mystery 2.
