The manga adaptation was done by Hidaka and was published in Ichijinsha’s josei manga magazine Monthly Comic Zero Sum in August 2017. My Next Life as a Villainess adaptation by Silver Link Season 1 aired from April to June 2020, and a second season aired from July to September 2021. 

Now time for some exciting news for Catarina fans! It was officially announced on Twitter that the anime film is set to premiere in 2023, which might either be a spin-off or a sequel to My Next Life as a Villainess anime series. My Next Life as a Villainess Season 3 Plot & Expectations

The story is about Catarnia Claes a young daughter from a noble family who one day bumps her head and wakes up with memories of being a 17-year-old otaku girl who used to play otome games similar to the life situation she finds herself in. After spending some time in the world she realizes that she has been reborn into the otome game world Fortune Lover game’s villainess, who regardless of any route she picks is bound to die.

Catarina is determined to prevent herself from being doomed and comes up with countermeasures. Although the countermeasures seem to work she makes most of the characters fall for her without having any intentions of romance whatsoever.

In the last season, we saw Keith getting kidnapped but by the end got rescued by Catarina and her friends. As the story progresses we get to see the character’s backstory related to Catarina and how their feelings for her keep getting intensified over time.

We expect the movie to be a spin-off which would be fun to watch. We expect there will be another strategy or villain in play to lead Catarina to doom and her friends will once again find ways to rescue her.
