Nier: Automata Ver1.1a episode 7 – [Q]uestionable Actions has been released. Believe it or not, Nier: Automata Ver1.1a series has been like a roller coaster ride, sometimes it gets spooky other times it gets dramatic.
Each episode ends with a cliffhanger, today; we will share with you the recap of Nier: Automata Ver1.1a episode 6 and a review of Nier: Automata Ver1.1a episode 7 as well. So let’s get started!
Nier: Automata Ver1.1a Episode 6 Recap
In the previous episode of Nier: Automata Ver1.1a, we got to know a lot about Lily’s past. Oh yes! and we also uncovered the truth behind the resistance group. The resistance group is not androids but humans. They were sent to fight the machine lifeforms and were left behind. The command center stopped sending backups and left them to survive on their own.
One day Lily and her group come across yoRHa soldiers who pledge alliance with Lily’s group to defeat the enemy’s control center. On their way to the location, both teams become good friends. The 2B-like YoRHa soldiers even save Lily from being affected by the logic virus which corrupts the androids.
The story gets dark as all the units and teammates die except Lily. Lily’s elder sister asks Lily to take the responsibility of leading the resistance group while Lily’s elder sister sacrifices her life to complete the mission. The episode was devastating and cruel, as people kept dying, just; like in Attack on Titans. Now let’s move on to the next episode.
Adam And Eve
The episode just like episode 5, Nier: Automata Ver1.1a episode 7 also begins with the two evolved androids discussing humans. Adam seems to possess high intelligence while Eve seems like a child who just wants to play games. The contrasting personalities are similar to what we see in siblings. The character development is good and it does not feel rushed or too slow.
No Orders From Command Centre
9S and 2B discuss the eating habits of animals and humans. Then the thought of mysterious androids hits them and they start wondering why no orders have been given for the same.
Communication through the command center takes place for daily reports and as there was nothing to be shared, they wrap it up quickly. 9S asks about reports on the mysterious androids but the person in charge not knowing anything about it ends up discussing flowers instead.
Pascal’s Request
While 9S and 2B discuss the topic of evolved androids they see Pascal running behind another machine life form. Pascal asks for help from 9S and 2B to find the machine life form’s sister. The machine’s life forms sister goes into the kingdom of forest in search of her sister’s broken parts.
The forest kingdom is known to be home to hostile machine life forms so Pascal asks 9S and 2B for help. The way the machine and Pascal expressed their emotions was comical and hilarious to watch.
We did not expect Nier: Automata Ver1.1a to have funny acts because most of the plot was downcast and miserable. For a second, you might feel that it’s a set-up because of pascal’s behavior but no, he remained true to his words till the end.
Kingdom of Machine LifeForms
Both 9S and 2B enter the forest Kingdom with Pascal and witness piles of slayed-down machine life forms. It gets more complicated when 9S plays the memories of the murdered machine life forms.
The recording shows us how the kingdom began and that after the king died, a childlike machine life form is made the king of the kingdom until one day, one android attacks and destroys the kingdom.
They Finally Find The Lost Sister
Soon 9S and 2B find the machine life form’s sister with the help of their pods. Then we see that the machine life form’s sister falls in love with one of the kingdom’s survivors. Pascal approves them for marriage. We know this is quite funny and sounds weird, but it is what it is.
It feels a bit childish but hey! the anime is pretty unique in its plot and did not fail to entertain us with its unpredictable elements throughout the series. The machine life form’s lover begs 9S and 2B to save their king.
Who Is The New Soldier?
As 9S and 2B head toward the place to save the child-like king. As soon as they reach the place; they get attacked by YoRHa’s wanted soldier, who looks a lot like 2B but with long hair.
The female wanted YoRHa soldier destroys the child-like machine form and attack 2B. As they clash with each other the hostile soldier’s weapon breaks, and she retreats.
When 9S asks the traitor behind betraying the organization. The wanted soldier says that the command center is a traitor, and the episode ends with a massive cliffhanger leaving us with questions like what if the wanted soldier is correct? or what if both parties are correct but both working on different principles? We will get the answers in the upcoming episode.
Conclusion
Overall, the episode felt a bit different from the usual mood that it sets up. We got a new character’s entry along with the development of other characters; as the episode progresses.
