Pamela Anderson has had some financial troubles over the years. Her most recent ex-husband, Jon Peters, claimed that he had cleared $200,000 of debt for her. In 2009, she had a $1.7 million lien filed for unpaid taxes. Two tax liens were filed in 2012 for unpaid taxes for 2011, as well. At the time, the IRS was looking to collect $260,000, and the state of California sought $112,000. After all of that, Anderson’s net worth is estimated to be $20 million in 2023. Having appeared on more covers than any other Playboy model throughout her career of four decades, it’s no surprise her net worth is so high. She also made $300,000 per episode of Baywatch at its peak, totaling $6.6 million per season. After adjusting for inflation, that’s $12 million per season!
Pamela Denis Anderson was born on July 1, 1967, in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada. She attended Highland Secondary School in Comox, British Columbia, and was a member of the volleyball team. She graduated in 1985 and moved to Vancouver in 1998 to work as a fitness instructor.
Anderson’s career came about somewhat unexpectedly. While attending a BC Lions Canadian Football Game in 1989, she was featured on the Jumbotron in her tight-fitting Labatt’s Beer T-shirt. The company hired her as a spokesmodel for a short period. She then appeared on the cover of Playboy’s October 1989. At this point, she moved to the U.S. to pursue a modeling career in Los Angeles. She was chosen as Playmate of the Month in February 1990 and opted to undergo breast augmentation surgery not once, but twice. Anderson modeled for Playboy for 22 years and has appeared on more Playboy covers than any other model.
Anderson moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career when she was cast in the minor role of Lisa, the “Tool Time Girl,” on the comedy series Home Improvement. After two seasons, she left the show to join the cast of Baywatch as C.J. Parker. She remained on the show for five seasons between 1992 and 1997 and appeared in the reunion movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding in 2003.
She was cast in her first starring film role in 1994, co-starring with Robert Hays, Stacy Keach, and David Keith, in Raw Justice, or Good Cop, Bad Cop. She then played Barbara Rose Kopetski in the 1996 film Barb Wire. In fact, rather than have a barbed wire tattoo painted on every day during filming, she got a tattoo of barbed wire on her upper left arm, which she eventually removed in 2016. Anderson then starred in the action-comedy-drama series V.I.P. as Vallery Irons for four years, beginning in 1998. She also appeared as Heather Biblow, Fran’s rival, on The Nanny.
Pamela Anderson appeared nude on the cover of Playboy in May 2004. In the same year, she released Star, her first book. The book is about a teenager chasing stardom. The sequel, Star Struck, was released in 2005 and appeared to tell her own story about her life with Tommy Lee. Also in 2005, she starred in Stacked, a new comedy series, but it was canceled in May 2006 after two seasons, and some episodes never aired. In March 2006, she received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame. In the same year, she appeared in the mockumentary Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. She made her Broadway debut in Chicago in the lead role of Roxie Hart in March 2022.
Anderson has appeared on a number of reality television series. In 2008, she starred in her own docuseries, Pam: Girl on the Loose. She stayed as a guest in the house on Season 4 of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of the Big Brother franchise, in 2010. She then appeared in the 12th season of Big Brother in the UK in 2011, as well as the fourth season of VIP Brother, the Bulgarian celebrity spin-off of the franchise, in 2012, and the first season of Promi Big Brother in Germany. Anderson also was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars during the tenth season in 2010 and returned for the 15th season all-star edition in 2012. In 2011, she was a contestant on the Argentinean spin-off Bailando 2011. She also competed on the ninth season of French Dancing with the Stars in 2018. In 2013, Anderson competed on the British reality television show Dancing on Ice.
Pamela Anderson has been married six times… so far. Her first husband was Tommy Lee, the drummer of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. They married on February 19, 1995, only four days after meeting for the first time. They were married on a beach, and she wore a white bikini. Her own mother learned of the marriage from People magazine. Their marriage was not a happy one, and they divorced in 1998 after Lee had been arrested and sentenced to six months in Los Angeles County Jail for spousal abuse. Not long after they divorced, she was engaged to Marcus Schenkenberg, a model, but they broke up in 2001. Anderson admitted to often having sex with Lee since their divorce. Their relationship is most notorious for their stolen and leaked sex tape, which was released and sold in 1995.
Next, Anderson dated and became engaged to the singer Kid Rock, and she broke up with him in 2003. However, they got back together, and she married him in July 2006 in Saint-Tropez, France. In November 2006, Anderson suffered a miscarriage, and she filed for divorce just seventeen days later.
Anderson announced her engagement to Rick Salomon, a poker player, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in September 2007, and they were married at The Mirage in Las Vegas on October 6. Unfortunately, they separated on December 13 of the same year, and on February 22, 2008, Anderson requested an annulment, citing fraud. Once again on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, this time in 2013, Anderson said that she and Salomon were “friends with benefits,” but then the two remarried in January 2014. And once again, the couple divorced in February 2015.
In 2017, she began dating Adil Rami, the French footballer. She said that their relationship ended in February 2019. Then in January 2020, she married Jon Peters, a Hollywood producer. Less than a month later, on February 1, she and Peters had separated, and she claimed never to have been legally married to him. She married her bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst, on Christmas Eve, 2020, but they split up as of January 2022.
Anderson is the daughter of Carol, who was a waitress, and Barry, a furnace repairman. Juho Hyytiäinen, her great-grandfather, was a native of Saarijärvi, Finland, who left Finland for Canada in 1908. He changed his name when he arrived as an immigrant. Anderson also has Russian ancestry on her mother’s side. She has a younger brother named Gerry who is an actor and producer. He has appeared in some of her projects, as well. Pamela Anderson has two sons with ex-husband Tommy Lee: Brandom Thomas, born June 5, 1996, and Dylan Jagger, born December 29, 1997.
