More Drama in the Boardroom and Mediocre Challenges

There are some things about Perfect Match that work for us, and some that simply don’t. First, we will focus on what doesn’t work for us, and that mainly includes the challenges. By the looks of it, the challenges are included just for the sake of it, because the producers decided that it would be necessary to have a challenge every episode. Frankly, none of them are too exciting and have all been borrowed from other reality shows.

The only reason these challenges are important is that they lead one couple to the boardroom, but that can be done without the challenges too. In fact, one of the challenges in the latest episodes simply included the couple’s ranking themselves from most to least compatible, and that was it. Instead of spending a good chunk of time on challenges, we wouldn’t mind a little more drama in the boardroom.

More Drama in the Boardroom and Mediocre Challenges

Speaking of the boardroom, that’s the one thing that works for us. The boardroom is probably the most unique thing about Perfect Match, which is something that we haven’t seen in reality shows before, not this way at least. Speaking of the boardroom, let us move on and talk about all the couples in the house and what exactly happened in these four episodes.

We have to start with Francesca who probably started out as a favorite and soon became the villain of the villa. After pairing up with Dom, she went on a date with Damian.

Francesca assumed Dom would go home but that didn’t happen, at all. Instead, Dom and Georgia got together, and frankly, we believe that they were the most compatible couple in the house. Something about them just worked. Of course, Francesca wasn’t thrilled about this and her villain mode only got stronger from there.

Francesca And Dom

Francesca and Damian made an interesting couple, considering the two were very different from each other. The focus never was on the two of them which led us to believe that maybe they weren’t going to last and that’s exactly what happened towards the 8th episode when Francesca was sent on a date with Abbey.

Here’s something that really caught our attention when it came to Perfect Match. Other reality shows do have bi-women and men, but when it comes to pairing up, it’s always one man and one woman. Perfect Match has steered away from those norms and has given the green light for women to match with women and men with other men. Because at the end of the day, your perfect match depends on whom you love, not on their gender. We love progressive reality shows and Perfect Match has successfully added itself to that category.

Francesca on a date with Abbey

There were several couples and contestants that were in and out in the four episodes that were released, however, a few of them got more screen time than the others, and rightfully so.

Chloe made her entry into the villa with an amazing date with Shayne, and we were convinced that both of them were meant to be together. They even had us fooled! But of course, the boardroom changes things, and that’s exactly what happened to Shayne and Chloe, whose trust was put to test. Francesca and Damian decided it would be wise to bring Mitch, aka Chloe’s most recent ex-boyfriend into the mix and send them on a date together. At the end of the day, this left behind a heartbroken Shayne.

Chloe And Shayne

But maybe this isn’t the end of Chloe and Shayne, and there might be something in store for them especially after Mitch has explicitly told Chloe that he isn’t looking for a relationship.

Better late than never, right? We’ll find out in the next episodes whether or not Shayne comes back to the villa and goes on a date with Chloe, and we’ll admit, out of everyone, this is the storyline we’re most invested in. Do let us know in the comments if you agree with us!

Chloe and Shayne Date

Some other contestants caught our attention in these few episodes. For example, we weren’t expected Chase’s journey to end this soon and he will most definitely have a conversation with Francesca when he sees her the next time, which could be in the coming episodes.

Nick was sent home too, which was more shocking for him than the viewers because everyone else saw it coming. However, he is still on the board so he might just make a comeback.

Nick

We can’t talk about Perfect Match and not mention Ines who has had the most matches in the villa so far and none of them were perfect for her. Now, she has finally matched with Damian in a shocking turn of events, who is still very invested in his ex-match, Francesca.

So we don’t have a good feeling about it, and maybe Ines is meant to find her perfect match outside this reality show.

Of course, Bartise was eventually sent home after he failed to find a match, and we are certain that social media is going to have a field day with this because even after two reality shows, he wasn’t able to fix his reputation.

Damian

It will be interesting to see how the final episodes pan out because by the looks of it, all the contestants are coming back and that is bound to stir a lot of feelings and definitely more drama.

We are mostly looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Shayne and Chloe, as well as if Francesca will stick to Abbey, or make moves on someone else because she certainly has her eyes on someone else. Last but not the least, the most compatible couple, Joey and Kariselle, might face some challenges in the final episodes too.
