Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin – Official Release Date and First Look

Did you ever imagine that Pitch Perfect would have a spin-off series? Because we sure weren’t expecting it, but we’re thrilled about it! Pitch Perfect as a movie series has been close to everyone’s heart because of the characters and the songs, but one character always stood out to everyone, and it was none other than Bumper Allen. And that brings us to the upcoming series, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.

Acapella became popular because of Pitch Perfect and Glee, and it gave rise to many other singers experimenting with the form of singing. Fans always wanted more, and that’s what they’re getting. Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin will be very different from the usual Pitch Perfect movies, and one of the stark differences will be the fact that Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin is a series, which means we get more than just 90 minutes of fun! Here’s everything you need to know about this original series, from the plot to the cast and much more:

What is The Plot of Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin?

Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin takes a different route and explores a different country altogether. These days, anyone and everyone gets a million views on their Tiktoks, and Bumper Allen is one of those as well. However, Bumper gets more than just those views, he gets noticed by someone all the way in Berlin, who wants Bumper to drop everything back at home and move all the to the capital of Germany. It sounds crazy, right? But we know Bumper and we know he’s crazy, and it doesn’t take him a lot of convincing to agree as he packs his bags and goes all the way to another country.

The Plot of Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin

Starting a singing career from scratch in a country where you don’t know the language or people can be difficult, and Bumper surely does struggle. However, on this journey, he finds his people, and maybe even love. Now, Bumper must perform at one of the biggest festivals in Berlin and it isn’t as easy as it seems. Is it the start of Bumper’s new career? Or will it take him little to no time to pack his bags and move back to America?

The Cast of Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin

Adam Devine did not reprise his role in Pitch Perfect 3 which left the fans wondering if his journey as Bumper Allen was over. However, Devine will be reprising his role as Bumper for Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, because there is truly no one else who could portray Bumper better than Adam Devine. This time around his love interest will not be Fat Amy, played by Rebel Wilson, but instead, Heidi, who will be played by Sarah Hyland. This is big news for Modern Family fans who have previously seen Sarah and Adam strike a romantic relationship in the popular sitcom, and were one of the cutest couples. We can only hope the chemistry stays in Berlin too!

Apart from Devine and Hyland, another popular face joining the cast will be Jameela Jamil. She is best known for her roles in A Good Place and more recently, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. The other cast members include Udo Kier, Diana Birenyte, and Lera Abova who will complete the cast of this series. It could be possible that we might see some cameos in this series, maybe some Pitch Perfect veterans, however, nothing has been confirmed yet.

When and Where Can You Watch Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin?

The wait is almost over because Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin will stream on the 23rd of November! Although we don’t have a schedule just yet, it is possible that episodes will release weekly, every Wednesday.  There will be a grand total of six episodes and they will exclusively be available on Peacock. The first two Pitch Perfect movies are available to stream on Peacock as well, so if you need to catch up and learn more about Bumper and his personality, now is the time!

Is There a Trailer for Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin?

YouTube video player

The official trailer for Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin gives us a glimpse into what we can expect from this series. From what we can tell so far, Bumper hasn’t changed at all, and maybe that’s for the best. We also see a romance brewing between Bumper and Heidi, but what takes the cake is Gisele because we see Jameela Jamil in a completely different role. The official trailer also teases a potential riff-off between Bumper and Gisele, because is anything Pitch Perfect complete without a riff-off? We think not!

Conclusion

Pitch Perfect has been one of the most popular franchises in the musical genre, of this generation. Ideally, every character should have a spin-off series because we would love to know what they’re all up to. But for now, we shall pack our bags and journey to Europe with Bumper Allen!
