Prom Pact: Release Date, Plot, Cast And More

We have talked about several exciting movies lined up for 2023, whether on streaming platforms or the big screen. Some of these already have Oscar buzz around them, and while everyone is looking forward to those, sometimes all we need is a good old-fashioned Disney movie, and that’s exactly where Prom Pact comes in.

Prom Pact is an upcoming teen Disney movie that, as the title suggests, will be based around prom, the one big event that every American looks forward to during their high-school years. So far, Prom Pact looks colorful, exciting, and filled with some clichéd tropes that we have fallen in love with over the last couple of decades.

The executive producer of Prom Pact will be none other than Julie Bowen, aka your favorite mom from Modern Family, who definitely knows a thing or two about what audiences like.

We have no doubt that Prom Pact will be filled with love, laughter, and friendship, and bring us back to reliving the good old days, unless you are in high school of course, in that case, Prom Pact might just be a teaching moment.

So, keep reading this article to learn everything you need to know about Prom Pact, from the plot to the cast to the release date and more:

What Is The Plot of Prom Pact?

As we said before, Prom Pact will have some clichés throughout the movie, but sometimes, that is all we need. Prom Pact has been described as a teen romantic comedy that revolves around the main character, Mandy Yang.

When Julie Bowen was asked to talk about Mandy’s character, this is what she had to say: “She’s a little bit strident, very type A, and she doesn’t want to believe especially in heteronormative love, because she’s so liberal.

But then she falls, and there’s that undeniable chemistry.” So without a doubt, if there is one character that we are looking forward to the most, it is Mandy.

The Plot of Prom Pact

By the looks of it, Mandy is an overachieving high school student whose only goal is to get into the prestigious Harvard. Nothing beyond Harvard matters to Mandy, and everything that she has worked for, has been for this dream of hers, and nothing can stop her.

Well, the only problem is, something can stop her, and that is Harvard’s waitlist. Mandy realizes that she needs to do whatever it takes to get admitted into this school, even if it means befriending the high school jock, Graham Lansing, whose father is a senator and Harvard alum.

She won’t need anything else to get off that waitlist and into Harvard if she gets his recommendation.

Mandy

Mandy and Graham don’t start on the best note but she offers to tutor him as an apology and that’s where Prom Pact really begins. Mandy is convinced that she is anti-love…until she isn’t.

Not every high school jock is the same, and Mandy soon realizes that there is a lot more to Graham than what everyone sees on the surface. They begin spending more time together, and maybe it is time for her to realize that there is life beyond making it to the best school in the country.

Mandy and Graham

In teenage romantic comedies, it is usually the boy who befriends the girl for his own benefit, but the tables have turned in Prom Pact, which makes it a little unique compared to other movies.

Nevertheless, Prom Pact will be filled with teen drama, love, and laughter, and honestly, we are already rooting for Mandy and Graham! Let’s move on to the cast of Prom Pact, and see which actors and actresses are going to be a part of this upcoming Disney movie.

The Cast of Prom Pact

There are a few familiar faces that you will see in Prom Pact, and of course, the focus of the movie will be on Mandy Yang, who will be played by Peyton Elizabeth Lee.

You might recognize Lee from her previous roles in Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. and Secret Society of Second-Born Royals. Prom Pact is set to be Lee’s biggest role yet, so we are looking forward to seeing more of her in the future!

The Cast of Prom Pact

Mandy’s love interest, Graham Lansing, will be played by the actor Blake Draper. He has previously appeared in Bad Mothers and Clickbait, but just like Lee, Prom Pact is set to be his big break.

And Mandy’s best friend, Ben, will be played by Milo Manheim, who is best known for his work in the Zombies franchise. Lee, Draper, and Manheim will be the three cast members on whom the focus will remain the most. Could there possibly be a classic love triangle too? You know we love cliches!

Mandy’s best friend, Ben

Other actors and actresses who will be joining the cast of Prom Pact are Margaret Cho, Monique Green, Jason Sakaki, Arica Himmel, and Wendi McLendon-Covey amongst several others. There will be a lot of familiar faces to look forward to in Prom Pact.
