Bridgerton and Netflix are a gift that keeps on giving which brings us to their new adventure Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. This upcoming royal series will focus on the story of Queen Charlotte, as the title suggests, and will serve as a prequel to the Bridgerton series that is currently on-going. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will focus on Charlotte’s origin story, and here is the official synopsis of the upcoming limited series:
“Centred on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”
King George and Queen Charlotte were the ones who aimed to create a more modern and equal world where people of all race, colour and gender were treated equally. The Cast of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
The focus will remain on Queen Charlotte in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, since her name is right there in the title. India Amarteifio will be playing the role of young Queen Charlotte in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. India has previously appeared in The Evermoor Chronicles, Gangsta Granny, and Military Wives. At 21, she is still finding her place in the movie and television industry, and her role as Charlotte will most definitely be her biggest role so far. We can’t wait to see what India Amarteifio has in store for us. While she will be young Queen Charlotte, the beloved Golda Rosheuvel will be reprising her role as the older Queen Charlotte, and you will recognize her from the Bridgerton series.
Corey Mylchreest is set to play the role of King George in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Corey is best known for his work in Elevator Pitch and Mars, and most recently, The Sandman. He is an up-and-coming actor, so to a land a role on Netflix this early on in his career is definitely a win!
The other cast members who will be joining Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story are Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, Arsema Thomas, Connie Jenkins-Greig, Hugh Sachs, Michelle Fairley and Tunji Kasim amongst other talented actors and actresses.

While there is no release date for Bridgerton Season 3, it can be safely assumed that you will get to watch Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story sooner than expected.
