Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts Episode 1 Review

World divided between Humans and Beasts

The story begins with the narrative of the world between beasts and humans. Long ago beasts used to eat humans and plunder the villages but after many years, beasts established their kingdom and made a treaty with the humans on one condition.

The condition was that the humans need to send one sacrificial human before the sacrificial night to keep the treaty, and this is how we meet our adorable protagonist Sariphi, Sari in short.

Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts Episode 1 Review

Who is Sari?

Sari enters the king’s palace and unlike any normal human who would get scared at the sight of a talking lion/beast, she makes random comments and then we see that the lion king Simba chuckles I mean the beast from the Beauty and the Beast decides to keep her instead of eating her.

Who is Sari?

The whole sacrifice and beast fantasy sounds spicy rather than wholesome but at times we see some comical moments that did make me smile so yes the first episode did a good job in making people smile, apart that we see Seri trying to get all close to Beast king but our beast king is always short-tempered and keeps screaming.

Another Cliche?

At times the story feels like another cliche where the heroine is trying to save the hero. As usual, the heroine has a sad and pitiful story that makes the king melt for her and do things that he would not do for anyone. As the story progresses we see them bonding and we also get to know about Seri’s past. The pacing feels forced as everything happens so quickly. They tried to wrap everything up in one single episode.

Another Cliche?

Beast is a human?

In the next half of the episode, we see that Seri learns the secret of the beast king, yes guys! he is not a beast but a prince, yes; the beast turns into a human every night and he never ate a single human and had let them go for ages.

After finding out the truth Seri decides to give herself up to the king and the king decides to make her the queen. Happy ending? no, because the Beast people are against the idea of having a human queen, and what will happen next will be found in the next episode.

Beast is a human?
