The book series The Saxon Stories is followed by the movie The Last Kingdom and its spinoff Seven Kings Must Die. The first 11 volumes were loosely followed in the Netflix series. Similar to how Sword of Kings and War Lord’s plots are used in Seven Kings Must Die.

When Will Seven Kings Must Die Season 2 Be Released?
When season 4 was released in 2020, a movie was under consideration. The movie Seven Kings Must Die was confirmed at London Comic-Con following the show’s discontinuation in 2021.
The movie’s production started in 2022, following the completion of season 5’s filming in 2021. The release is scheduled for April 2023, with filming wrapping up in March 2022.
