Misaki Takamatsu’s slice-of-life manga series is being serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly magazine since 2018 and it has gained enough fan base to launch its anime series. The anime series adaptation was done by P. A Works has already released its first episode on 4th April 2023.
Skip and Loafer – Sneak Peek
The story follows an excellent straight-A student named Iwakura Mitsumi who has always dreamed of leaving her town, enrolling in the best university, and bringing a positive change to the world. She’s so focused on her goals that she forgets to blend in with the overwhelming city life of Tokyo.
Now instead of giving a brief synopsis allow me to share a glimpse of the first episode. In the first episode, we see Mitsumi going to her entrance ceremony by train, on her way, she daydreams about her entire life from school to her cremation ceremony, yes! cremation ceremony.
As Mitsumi is androphobic she ends up getting overwhelmed on the train during rush hour and gets lost, that’s when she meets Shima a handsome guy who helps her to reach school and thus the story of two people begins.
