Something From Tiffany's: Plot, Cast, Release Date and More

No matter where you go in the world, people know exactly what they can expect when they see a bag or a box in Tiffany’s emblematic shade of robin’s egg blue. Women – and men – would be more than delighted to see that pop of color awaiting them beneath their Christmas trees. It only makes sense that Prime Studios’ newest Christmas film centers on a romance (or two) affected by a purchase made at Tiffany & Co, and that brings us to Something from Tiffany’s.

Something from Tiffany’s will be a brilliant addition to the range of holiday movies that are releasing this winter season. This movie boasts a talented cast along with a plot line that will leave you questioning everything you know about fate and destiny so far. Here’s everything you need to know about Something from Tiffany ahead of its release, from its plot, to the cast, and much more:

What Is the Plot of Something from Tiffany’s?

Based on Melissa Hill’s novel of the same name, Something from Tiffany’s tells the story of two men on the hunt for the perfect gifts for their significant others. Ethan, with the help of his daughter Daisy, is shopping for an engagement ring for his longtime girlfriend, Vanessa. Gary, on the other hand, merely wants to splurge on something extra special for his girlfriend, Rachel. Unbeknownst to the two men, their shopping bags somehow are switched, and they, unfortunately, don’t realize that until Christmas morning, when Rachel opens an engagement ring and Vanessa receives a pair of earrings. Ethan and Rachel meet up to exchange the jewelry, and sparks fly, leading them to question their respective relationships.

The Plot of Something from Tiffany’s

Undoubtedly, Something from Tiffany’s is going to be a rollercoaster ride because usually, mishaps like these don’t leave you questioning big life decisions. But the heart wants what it wants, and when sparks fly, one cannot ignore them. However, will the two act on these sparks, or will they turn around and go back to the relationships that they belonged to in the very beginning, no matter how unfulfilling?

The Cast of Something from Tiffany’s

Executive producer Zoey Deutch stars as Rachel, a baker. Deutch is quickly becoming a major player in Hollywood. She has an astonishing list of television and film credits, and she only just turned 28 this month. She has been acting professionally since the age of 15, but her breakthrough came when she starred as Rosemarie Hathaway in the Vampire Academy film in 2014. More recently, she has starred in the Netflix series The Politician, as well as the Netflix film Set It Up and Hulu’s Not Okay.

American actor and activist Kendrick Sampson plays Ethan, and we are already swooning. If Sampson looks familiar, you may have seen him in recurring roles on popular shows like The Vampire Diaries, Insecure, and producer Shonda Rhimes’s How to Get Away with Murder. During the summer of 2020, he actively participated in and organized protests supporting the Black Lives Matter movement in and around Los Angeles. In the same year, he also collaborated with JusticeLA on their #SuingToSaveLives campaign, advocating for the health and safety of people in Los Angeles County jails during the COVID-19 pandemic. Talent and passion? What more could we ask for?

The Cast of Something from Tiffany’s

Out of the Blue’s Ray Nicholson portrays Rachel’s boyfriend Gary, and Shay Mitchell of You and Pretty Little Liars fame portrays Ethan’s, almost-fiancée Vanessa. Rounding the cast are Leah Jeffries (Beast), Jojo T. Gibbs (Fresh), Javicia Leslie (The Family Business), Chido Nwokocha (Sistas), Stephanie Shepherd (Dave), and Michael Roark (Driven).
