Spy Classroom Season 1 has been in talks since its release date was revealed. Getting sequels to popular anime is predictable, but nowadays, viewers watch anime for something that would make them as excited as they watched Attack on Titan.
Spy Classroom is not even close to Attack on Titan, but its story is similar to Assassination Classroom. The spy genre has always been compelling to people who love watching action and mystery. It has already created a buzz online, but whether it will live up to our expectations will only be found out after all the episodes get released.
Spy Classroom or Spy Room is a Japanese light novel series on spies written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. The first volume made it to the shelves in January 2020.
As of January 2023, nine cour volumes plus three short story volumes have been released. The manga finally received a green light for an anime adaptation by Feel; Feel produced works like KissxSis, My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu, and Island.
Spy Classroom Season 1 Plot
The world and military realized that weapons are useless as they are way too destructive and deadly for humanity. Even if weapons got out of the picture, trickery and confidential information came into play between the nations. The world made training spies their topmost priority.
The infamous team Inferno’s last survivor, Klaus, determines to create a team to assist him in his “Impossible Mission.” Impossible Missions are said to be special-graded missions; that have a survival chance of 1%. Klaus, for some reason, recruited only the washed-out spy girls (seven in total).
Klaus has only one month to teach the girls every possible trick and move that would increase their chances of a successful mission. Whether they will succeed in completing the “Impossible Mission” will be revealed in the upcoming episodes of Spy Classroom Season 1.

Spy Classroom Season 1 Short Review
The anime has a reasonable concept, character, and a great team of cast members, yet, they need clarification with their poorly planned animation. The preview would attract viewers, but the pacing was terrible.
The episodes were like this: Episode 1: introduction of the characters and story (expected), Episode 2: Beginning of Basic training to suddenly sending off the newbies to missions (made no sense), Episode 3: It felt like it was the season’s finale for sure.
I won’t reveal more than this because you must watch Spy Classroom Season 1 for yourself to understand what I meant. I expected something extraordinary and an out-of-the-box plot, but it was another spy cliche with poorly planned storylines. I cannot say that the upcoming episodes will be terrible, but let’s hope the pace improves.
