Nevertheless, while the murderer did confess to killing several men over the years, one of those confessions wasn’t really true. In fact, that puts Dave in trouble, and the only person who knows the secret is Megan, and only Megan, not even Dave knows what he’s done. 

This was the perfect plot twist that seemed like a setup for Stay Close Season 2, so we’re almost certain that any future season will explore this secret in detail. Also, Megan and Dave are married now, but does that mean nothing would happen between Megan and Ray? There is a lot of unfinished business there, and we’ll surely be seeing more of them together. Lastly, Detective Broome. Probably the man who had the saddest ending in the first season, it will be interesting to see how he copes with that in Stay Close Season 2. 

The Cast of Stay Close Season 2

Stay Close had some of the most brilliant and versatile actors and actresses, whose performances in this crime drama left us wanting more. There have been no official confirmations regarding who will return, but based on the last season, we can make our guesses. Cush Jumbo is bound to return as Megan Pierce, as she is the lead of the series in many ways. Joining her would be Daniel Francis as Dave Shaw, who will play a bigger part in Stay Close Season 2. 

Rounding up the cast we have James Nesbitt as DS Michael Broome, Richard Armitage as Ray Levine, Jo Joyner as Erin Cartwright, Bethany Antonia as Kayleigh Shaw, and Youssef Kerkour as Fester. 

It will be interesting to see if Sarah Parish returns for Stay Close Season 2, but we’d definitely love to see sweet Lorraine once again! Of course, there are a few characters who won’t be returning for Stay Close Season 2 since this is a crime drama and death is inevitable in shows like these, but we’re hoping to see a few fresh faces in any future seasons to stir the pot that’s brewing.

As for where you can watch it, we are assuming Netflix will continue streaming any of Harlan Coben’s work because they would be at a great loss if they decided to drop it.
